HONEYPOT ANTS
HoneyPot Ants tend to live wherever flowers grow, buzzing around these areas like little guardians of the nectar. They have a unique defense—kind of like bombardier beetles—that lets them shoot sticky honey from their abdomen, coating anyone nearby with the HONEYGLAZED effect (more on that in a bit). Normally, they’re pretty chill and won’t bother you unless you get too close, like jumping on their backs or disturbing their nests. When provoked, though, they can get aggressive to protect their sweet stash, so it’s best to give them space.

HONEYGLAZED
This status slows your movement and slightly blurs your vision. While honeyed, your stamina regen drops and your jump height and dodge distance are reduced because of the stickiness. Even after the honey effect ends, the sweet scent lingers for 10 seconds, attracting nearby ants and neutral critters, which become aggressive during this time. The effect can be blocked or mitigated by using shields or defensive moves. Washing off in water instantly removes the effect and resets enemy attention, while dust or powder items help break down the residue faster. Certain plants or crafted items can neutralize the honey scent, preventing creatures from tracking you.
Buggy Pet
The buggy version has four main uses. They can shoot honey to trap creatures like spiders, but mainly store juices that slowly produce honey in their inventory. This honey can be used for crafting new items and building materials. They also serve as mobile honey sources, letting players gather honey on the go. Honey restores hunger, thirst, and provides a small heal, making it a useful resource.
