#Text Box Overhang?

Hey all, I'm a dev/system guy and have started my Figma journey only recently, I'm running into a weird one, I'm not able to have my text box completely square around the text, with letters that overhang, it's cutting them off? I've tried auto height, setting the box manually just drags the top down with it even if I set constraints, I guess this is a simple answer, I just can't figure it out.

Thanks!

Hey @keen siren ! I think your line height might be bigger thaan the font size

this is probably a better one to look at, if you come over to the mobile

#

setting it to auto height

dapper hazel
#

oh okay i see, tbh i think that might just the heighlighting of some stuff works

#

but usually, ppl dont do 100% line height much

keen siren
#

right, should it be less?

dapper hazel
#

125-140% depending on what it is for

#

might be even more in some cases

keen siren

got it, setting it to 26 makes it fit

dapper hazel
#

100% can be appropriate at some times too

#

i think thats just how highlighting works but the text itself is still that

#

possibly if you code it with 23-23 it would still be okay

keen siren

got it, I just wanted to make sure the padding i apply to this will be exact

thank you for the help! appreciate it
