Hi. I'm a Yu-Gi-Oh veteran branching into MtG and, while scoping out potential first commanders going down the list of legendary creatures, I fell in love with This Guy Specifically: Brimaz, Blight of Oreskos. Much to my delight, there's a preconstructed deck for this guy, and I have it + some sleeves locked down online, but in attempting to keep this under $100, I have a good amount of wiggle room for techs and upgrades that aren't TOO too expensive.

Any suggestions for good or interesting cards to include or bad or inefficient cards to take away? I'd really like to stay on the Phyrexian theme, but I'm not averse to branching out. Specifically, I really love the incubate and proliferate concept.

I know I already want to cut a few of the really high cost cards and/or include some lower cost creatures, I'm afraid of bricking on these giant guys that don't do a lot and feel that maybe starting to play faster is best. I also get the feeling I need a little more draw power. I could be totally off base here though, this is totally Vibes Based and I'm kind of approaching this from a YGO mindset and still need to adjust my brain to MtG speed.

cards I'm looking at for inclusion, based on some research:

I have this commander that wants Phyrexians to die but I sort of feel don't have enough ways to make that happen - any suggestions for cards that I can use to sacrifice my little dudes?

really I just want to lean all in on the mites and incubators, and will probably get rid of the splicers that summon golems

#

I think it'a such a neat theme

#

though darksteel splicer reads pretty strong, he'll probably stay

#

🤔 ass or gas? this seems like a good way to get value off of both my little dudes and my commander

#

or this, even

#

though this is still going minus on mana

#

like I summon a little dude for 2, brimaz incubates to replace the little dude in my backrow, then sac little dude to refund 1, which lets brimaz activate in end phase... I don't think that seems good, drawing a card is probably better

oh, wait a second
