I want to see Mercadia fighting the Phyrexians with war balloons. We know they invaded as the art was shown.
I assume it went not very well, but it seems like it could be very fun, and I bet they have some records from Weatherlight Saga when there was some brush with things. At the least they gotta have developed some anti-air since then!
I imagine Lorwynns invasion going well for a while, and then night falls and Shadowmoor happens, and I could see it being an Ikoria situation where for some creatures who change a lot the transformation could burn the phyresis out of them. I see this being a double edged sword though as others of those Phyrexianised may also take on Shadowmoor forms and be problems. I do get the vibe Lorwyn would be more resistant than one might expect however
