Equipping Yr Glaive before Whispering Mothers

Here's the route for Yr Glaive before Whispering Mothers. Be cool if someone wants to try it and compare it to their normal route.
After meeting Yon for the first time:

  1. Grab the second Unformed Finger (100), drop down, dash to the right to avoid getting hit.
  2. Continue left and drop down to absorb the Frail Arm for +43.
  3. Skip the top route and grab the Maul Axe from Yon and dash past the next three enemies to absorb the big arm.
  4. Frail Arm jumping up to Frantic
  5. Frantic
  6. Grab Unformed Hand (250). Pick up armor set.
  7. Second Frantic
  8. Shard
  9. Absorb Frail Arm after second Surrogate, rather than jumping through it, for +30.
  10. Before Bellow Mace, walk close to the enemy laying on the ground and dash, let the Ancient Arm hit it for you.
  11. Grab Bellow Mace
  12. Amalgam
  13. Shard + Yr Glaive
  14. Absorb attacking Clawhounds
  15. Shard at Desert + Unformed Hands (2x250)
  16. Eyebrute at Desert for +90 and Hunt Point (since we skipped the Crimson Ichor in Cavity), wall on the way out +30
  17. Skip the unformed hand and continue past Yon cutscene. In the moving rock-elevators, take the second entrance to the left. You'll get jumped on by a Leaper who was standing on the Unformed Head (600). Walk to the left past the crushing pillar and jump up and then down to the item.
  18. Grow to 5/5 strength/dexterity at Lithic Lower (3717 total). Equip Yr Glaive. You can also use equip some Prey perks here.
  19. Struggle at the wall you need to destroy cos no volatile eyes :^) Grab Shard
  20. Enjoy Whispering Mothers
  21. Grab the Unformed Torso (1500) after Whispering Mothers
  22. Get 4/5/5 force/strength/dexterity at Worldpillar and upgrade Yr Glaive to +2

With the discovery of Early Yr Den, this route is pretty useless.
Early Yr Den is giving more Mass, bloodmetal and faster.

Worth keeping around for now in case the access we use for Early Yr Den gets patched 🙂

Early Yr Den is also somewhat inconsistent so it might be worth keeping a slower but more guaranteed route in mind

also tricky to do if you don't kill the Yr Warrior beforehand since he aggros pretty hard on you

Its so early in the run that if being a little bit inconsistent isnt too painful.

I was about to say 7 minutes isn't early but I'm used to running games under 30 minutes LUL
