First off thank you very much for the support and kind words I received after being placed tied for second on the "A second Chance" leaderboard. Now onto the issue:

Triforce and I ended with the same altitude of 626,626.1m but on the leaderboard and on the achievement icon it's showing me as third and Triforce second.

On another very similar leaderboard which is duo related, "The Lovers", it shows Promo and Caboozled tied for first, as well as on their achievement badge. This indicates the inconsistency across the leaderboards.

What will likely happen when the Bleeding Heart exclusive badge appears is that it will be displayed as 3rd on my profile when hovering the curser over the badge.

Thank you very much in advance for any changes to be made.

i know you spent effort making the first decimal match but it's just more accurate than that. API shows 626626.1234 > 626626.1134

I had no idea there was more than 1 decimal point taken into account since it isn't shown on the leaderboard. Knowing this, It makes sense why we didn't tie, since we weren't exclusive climbing with each other.

#

But is it possible if you can change the altitude to match? I doesn't seem fair...

i couldn't rshrug

alright. Do you know if any of the other moderators have the capability to do so, or instead, can you directly change the writing on the profile. I've seen it before where Garbocan was able to change Diao's profile to whatever he wanted and was displayed to the public.

Also thanks Zaptor for the quick replies.

the distinguishment you mean? i'm pretty sure that was osk's doing

#

so that kind of leaves only him as the only tetrioSysop with direct database access

I can't completely remember what happened, but I saw on the profile that instead of saying Tetris world champion, it showed something else about sleeping I think..

#

when Triforce and I were climbing the tower with the same altitude, it actually did show us both as second, all the way up until the goal of 50m was reached. So maybe it was some sort of lag that caused the decimal discrepancy?

#

I was looking for a video or stream garbo changing the profile, but I haven't found it yet, i'll keep looking.

#

Lastly, do you think that the achievement icon and badge should be displaced as 2nd. I spent many hours climbing the leaderboard and it would be nice to have my efforts shown. If so can you ask Osk, or can you let me know how to get in contact with them?

#

Ideally I would like this message chain to be forwarded to someone who can make the change.

Most importantly though, is that when Triforce and I had the same altitude, it did show on our achievement icons that we were both second, and from then we exclusively played together. So in my opinion, the section of the code that determines the placement for the achievement icon might have a rounding feature built in. For this reason, I feel like this is a bug rather than part of the game design.

Yes you're right, must have been someone with direct database access.

#

Can you please get in touch or let me know how to contact someone with direct database access so that they can make the changes.

I believe the multiple decimal point thing, as that's consistent with other qp leaderboards (ties only being possible if it's the same run, duoing for the entirety, or tyrant floor caps)

Sorry if I was previously unable to articulate my issue yesterday, I was playing duo's for around 20-22 hours a day, so obviously I was extremely sleep deprived. Triforce and I thought it was a great idea to have matching altitudes so that we can both be ranked 2nd, and that it's fair to rank the same since we played together most of the time. On the day that the 50m goal was reached, we had worked to bring our altitudes to the same amount, and after we had done it, it showed on our profiles that we were both second. Now of course once we had the same altitude, we exclusively played together so that our ranking/altitude would always match. I don't understand why the 0.01m extra that Triforce had didn't affect us being at different positions on the leaderboard up until the event ended, which is why it felt unjust when I was moved to third. Regardless of why or how this happened, I feel like Triforce and I are deserving of second, especially since Osk said "with shared second place for TRIFORCE and UFO_DUDE".

just assumed it

I'm so glad you're here omg

#

the reason you were both ranked 2nd is likely a caching thing, where as they both update at the same time they both think theyre 2nd temporarily because they dont know of the other side update yet

#

but then it resolves after a little bit as the cache expires

#

ill amend it tho so youre both 2nd

#

cuz i did call it out like that
