This idea is basically turning Tetris Effect’s “Purify” game mode into a mod card for Quickplay 2

To give an idea as to how this COULD be done in Quickplay 2, here is a real long post going into detail

When starting a run, you start with 6 messy lines of garbage with purple infected blocks scattered around the garbage blocks. The objective is to climb the tower whilst also managing the infected blocks on your board.

You can get rid of the infected blocks by clearing lines. When you clear lines with infected blocks in them, it will clear a number of nearby infected blocks on the board proportionate to the amount of garbage sent to others (1 line = 1 block nearby).

You will have 30 seconds to clear all infected blocks on the board; if you clear them all before that time limit is up, you can play normally until the 30 seconds are up. After the 30 seconds, if your board has less than 6 lines of garbage, then more garbage will spawn that will equal 6 total lines with infected blocks scattered throughout it, and the time limit will reset. If you have 6 or more garbage lines already on your board when the 30 seconds are up, then infected blocks will spawn on the existing garbage.

If you fail to clear all of the infected blocks on the board by the 30-second time limit, then all previously placed blocks on the board will become garbage blocks, and more infected blocks will spawn randomly while, additionally, adding 2 wound lines to the bottom of your board.

Infection’s reversed card (The Martyr) uses the same rules, only now you only have 10 seconds to work with, and failure is an instant Game Over.
