#surge deficit should appear earlier

right now, the surge deficit (the red verified looking thing) only appears if you are 8 surge behind. the ability to send small cheesy surges is intentional, so i think lowering the time when the number is shown would help with planning.

for it to help, it would have to go, at minimum, to 4 (i think bring it down to 1 is best because you can definitely trail someone’s btb by 1 if you both have surge).

having the surge warning sound can be annoying if the number is that low, so from 1 to 7, the deficit can be shown in light gray, until you are 8 surge behind where it plays the sound and the deficit turns red.

but maybe the reason it isnt shown that early is to for you to look over and do the math yourself (omg subtraction my least favorite). i can understand that being the case especially for cheese, but i still believe that if both players are at a relatively high btb, they should be able to just see how behind they are. so maybe as the lower player’s btb increases, the minimum surge deficit to be displayed decreases.

I agree, it's part of what i wrote for #1273443396970877031 To have it show earlier.

B2b chains used to be obvious to tell without looking at your opponent's board via the types of garbage you mostly received and how the garbage got mostly cleaner each time(except tss/tsm). if the opponent was chaining. But with all-spins minis, you can't tell if the 3-4 cheese received was from opponent doing all-spins, cheesing, comboing, or comboed with some all-spins at the end and did 1-2 normal b2b to get surge.
