I swear I've seen this suggestion before but I'm just going to put it into writing because I don't see any existing posts about it. LOV_Shrug

What I read was a suggestion to provide a cooldown timer for the first "Super Lobby Engaged" message so that subsequent messages will be minimized rather than the whole thing for a set amount of time. I'm not sure what would be adequate. Seems hard to gauge what cooldown would be appropriate though.

Alternatively, my own suggestion would be to just have it as a toast that pops up instead of a chat message. It's not like infrastructure for toasts/pop-ups don't already exist, so it might not be that difficult to introduce kagaXD

UX comes into question if the toast only displays relevant information when hovered over, since most people might not end up realizing that like for the Zen incident AWARE. Maybe make it bob up and down or add an arrow or whatever.

Another plausible idea would be pinning the Super Lobby Engaged message to the top of the chat when it's enabled, and when it's disabled it vanishes. A little intrusive, so you could also be given the option to close it to hide it until you join a new lobby that has it engaged

"Joins and leaves will be suppressed" ... But not the complete chat spam of super lobby engaging and disengaging.

For example.

If a game is ongoing there should be zero notifications in the chat. If a game is starting and it qualifies for super lobby it should say "Super lobby engaged! " under the number of players at the start when all the boards in the background appear.
