If you click a button that changes screens (Solo, Zen, Back, Multiplayer, Tetra League, Config, etc.) before the ads for that screen have loaded, the GPU thread crashes and the game works seemingly as normal but is stuck on whatever the screen looked like when you clicked the aforementioned button.

this tends to occur when ads are supposed to load and deload, so a stopgap fix is often just disabling them here: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/673305614318960671/836028825241387018/toggle-ads.mp4
sometimes, going fullscreen or simply opening the devtools can "jumpstart" the rendering process, so i'll often suggest that when people end up tripping over this bug in the tetra league

I'm on the desktop version. The game eventually gets to a point where pressing "NEXT" or escaping out of the result screen (when it shows the list of players after a game with their placements) in any way freezes the game. It will unfreeze only when a new match starts, such as when new matches automatically start in the Quick Play lobby. This also happens in private/public lobbies. The freeze makes it impossible to use the chat or exit out of the lobby until the next game starts.
