If someone's fingerprint sensor is not working then the issue is that the builds now limits the number of fingerprint to 4 and if you have registered more then 4 fingerprint and have dirty flashed then the fingerprint sometimes recognises your fingerprint and unlocks the phone. Hell of a nightmare if this happens. The only solution to this is factory reset. Else the fingerprint settings doesn't let you delete the saved fingerprint.
This had worked for my device. Don't know about the other device
