allow us to set a "simple" set of orders for different drones. That is for each kind of drones.
e.g. normal drones:
Priority list

  • deliver material for building
  • deliver material for crafting
  • build
  • deconstruct/recycle
  • deliver to landing sites
  • deliver to storages

e.g. hauling drones:

  • deliver material for building
  • deliver material for production
  • deliver material for landing sites
  • deliver material to storages

e.g. mining drones:

  • search next (airline) field to mine
  • search next (movement) field to mine
  • mine and run to and fro as always, we do not care 😛

using those as a changeable list. u could slightly modify the behaviour as a player as u need it. the priority list would be first to check for drones list, second the set priorities to buildings.

e.g. seting build as primary for normal drones and storages for haulers would result in drones trying to build. If that is not possible due to material missing they would deliver material so they can build. Meanwhile the hauler drones collect the debris from miners for the storages. They only deliver material to the building sites if there is no higher priority in their list left.

I really love this idea. It would give the player so much more control. If the devs would also add something in the UI or a report that we could pull up at anytime to summarize what each of our bot types are currently working on, this would be immensely helpful.

Or at the very least, add a tooltip when hovering over the current drone image in the top UI to show each drone type/name and current job for each drone the player has access to.
