Some weird behavior drones have when their numbers get quite large:
Even on large contracts with multiple waiting cargo pods, I will still have 200-300 drones sitting idle (according to the big red icon at the top anyway).
Drones allow themselves to run out of battery, even with copious numbers of charging stations around both above and underground. Rather than charge up, they will instead choose to do work but only be able to move at a relatively slow pace compared to their charged brethren.
Occasionally drones will stop supplying the cargo truck in the ECC, leading to failed contract and a stuck truck. I haven't figured out how to get the truck unstuck. You'll notice it was only missing one more item before it could go, so it loaded 3k items and then on the last one was just...nah. It had 340 days to get that item there and it just never came. I tried a save/load, I tried a restart, I tried using the expedition tab on the global screen, nothing gets this truck going anywhere.
FPS seems to REALLY suffer at high numbers of drones. On a new game I'm somewhere between 160-200FPS, with these 672 drones I'm at 20-30. Even when I'm above ground and they're all busy underground. Might be occlusion, might be pathfinding, I'm not sure.
I've attached the savefile; be warned, it may take multiple minutes to load (it does on my system anyway) and another small bit of time before the game starts responding.
