eternal jacinth
#

i like that they somewhat improved the armor schematics of the Louisiana line and gave Louisiana 2 sets of planes if you wish to keep them saved up. but it still feels mediocre to me

I gots me a question that I'm puzzled by

I got Fubuki recently, and I'm.... confused as to why it only has two gun turrets.

light harbor
#

That is how she was designed IRL

lament birch
#

refitted

light harbor
#

Oh right, yeah

vague cedar
twin abyss
#

It shouldn't be Fubuki then.

vague cedar
twin abyss
#

Fubuki was sunk in the battles off Guadalcanal in 1942; these refits weren't until late 1943/early 1944.

#

there are a few ships that dont "properly" match their namesake and are reps of the class lol

light harbor
#

Many of the techtree ships that had real life counterparts are like that Dashaha

# twin abyss It shouldn't be Fubuki then.

hatsuharu was the one that was designed with that setup but im pretty certain fubuki class initially was designed to carry 1 front 2 rear, at least starting from the 特II型 design era.

32 shell slavo is fun

twin abyss
#

Remember, it's a known fact until about 2012 or so, the Russian MOD still had an active unit for producing propaganda about the T-34.

eager pumice
#

Not actually the lead ship

#

Fletcher is just a Fletcher
Kongo is just a Kongo (actually it has most of the elements of Hiei)
Iowa is just an Iowa
KGV is just a KGV (like Kongo is mostly Hiei, KGV TT is mostly DoY I think)

twin abyss
#

Eh, fair enough

#

Just seemed bizarre that the iconic 'Mother of modern destroyers' was missing a significent chunk of her iconic armament.

eager pumice
light harbor
#

I don't think there's any other Fubuki premiums

eager pumice
#

As in "other named premiums"

As in DoY, Prinz Eugen etc. And the likes

light harbor
#

Ah

twin abyss
#

Does make me wonder if they'll ever make a premium of Hibiki

eager pumice
#

Fubuki class is an interesting case study

People call it the first "modern" destroyer because it was so large (2000t), had enclosed turrets etc.

#

Certain schools of thought think it was overkill

Good for its era but too overkill from an actual operational PoV at the same time

lament birch
#

mmm maybe in her "sold to russia" fit for hibiki

twin abyss
#

As Verniy then?

eager pumice
#

(As in the returns were diminishing for the purpose of the fleet role of a destroyer and might have been useful 20 years down had the Japanese actually been able to afford it)

#

(But muh decisive battle)

Also, on a more technical note, are the Enhanced Skills passive improvements, or do we need to take them?

vague cedar
#

Unless it's a very important one

#

Like Adrenaline Rush, for example

twin abyss
#

I was never sure; I've got Lutjens, see, and he has enhanced 'Grease the Gears' and 'Preventative Maintainance';

vague cedar
#

Enhanced PM actually makes sense in Lutjens, since German ships are more emphasized on the secondary firepower

#

And Grease the Gear is just generally a good skill to have

#

Ofc it just comes down to the choice of "Should i pick the safer route or the riskier route?" when choosing skills for a ship
