@limber sky its not really about opinion. With the mix gear you have to check your mix stats. because obviously its about making the stat even across the board. So its really hard to give you input on which to upgrade because its not about how it looks. Its about what you got in your stats. =)

Like you put on research gear to start a research but you don't have to keep it on.
You need gathering gear on before your army hits the tile, but as soon as they land, you can switch out.
And for war actions like rallies, the gear is only effective if you send the leader, otherwise it has no effect

You can still put monster jewels + spare jewels (when you get them ) in blast gear

depending on a few factors your blast sets could potentially be weaker than mix set though... (In which case using them wouldn't be a good idea until you can improve them)

t3 is roughly 2x stronger than t2, so no they are not useless

but they are 3x more expensive, so yes its dumb to make them for a "rally trap"

T3 relatively is stronger than t2. If you put them head to head with the same number of troops. Just like how t4 is a lot stronger than t3. But you have to realize that the way the game works t2 has better morale wise when you have a lot of them in a defense. You can watch rallies on players who’s comp is t4/t3 burn far faster than players who have a t4/t2 comp. it doesn’t mean t3 is weak it just means t2 are more cost effective in large ants defending wise
