Leaving is in part due to disagreement with lots of stuff in the guild management and it not turning out as advertised, and in part because I don't want to give up a few extra months of relative chillness from restricted migration to follow the above.

Unless you're constantly getting attacked, you shouldn't have to constantly repair your wall. Do you not Shelter and Hide your Troops? Or have enough gems from being in a guild to buy the daily shield?

We don't get enough guild coins per day for an 8h shield if that's what you mean, no. I do shelter troops and send them to 8h rallies. Sometimes attacks are daily or a few times per day and sometimes nothing for days.

I have a bunch of guild coins saved and several shields, I just thought I should probably save them for when the kingdom opens fully.

Yeah for sure. And I don’t need to be R4 right away or ever. It was offered to us when we fused with a larger guild because I didn’t want to lead in this game too. Though I like to help with recruitment and diplomacy and whatever is needed. I want to learn with friendly people in a reasonably stable guild with trustworthy active leadership.

the events change every hour, with 5 minutes "starting" period and a 55 minute active period where you can earn points

#

the guildfest tasks refresh every 30 min, and they randomly give a quest then the refresh time is over

#

the guildfest tasks them selves have varying times to complete them. check the time limit of your quest before you take it

GF tasks require killing 400-500k t4 is really a huge damage, if the santuary reduces the damage by 75% then 100k t4 is still a significant number.
