The fact that it locks u outta of all of your good gear immediately and can't use for the next 3 days so you are forced to either spend hard-earned rubies to repair them just to be broken again or use bad gear and really ran 9 matches with it is literally BS

Quick play discourages u to play as it yields little to no rewards for 5 same and boring matches while survivor basically means a few good matches before u need to stop playing so u could either need to 1. Play with as little gear as possible which can tough when there are 9 matches or 2. Go in headstrong with best gear and than drop it til seasons end

But now it becomes a choice of either extremely easy and boring or extremely hard and boring battles where the teams are the exact same throughout OR a 2.0 relic hunt where no one can perform to the best of their abilities because all of your good gears are locked out
