Again, my comment is no longer a part of the conversation lol, but to answer the questions asked, characters are gradually unlocked throughout gameplay. Some people over in #🗡-kollection were discussing how within less than half a year they already have diamond characters. Not high fusion but diamonds nonetheless. And after opening a few Gold Packs you'll be able to start beating the Normal Challenge mode and unlocking good gold characters, or you could save up a bit and open some Challenge packs. Golds come pretty quickly, including characters on par with the characters in the Faction Wars Store. Why spend so many Blood Rubies on characters when the equipment is way cheaper and usually way better than most of the equipment you can get in the Equipment Pack? Equipment should be the first thing picked up and maxed out from the Faction Wars store. The characters aren't going anywhere and by the time you can max one out, you'll have already maxed out a few Challenge characters that are just as good.
