It's kinda stupid how some of the Brutality gears passives are geared to that specific character, like Raidens with the stun and dispel stuff is obviously MK11 Raiden, For Liu Kang it was Klassic, Scorpions was MK11 and Hellspawn

These bosses keep regenerating ....over and over again? So you have to kill, regenerate, then kill again... within the same match?

Are you serious NRS? I have ZERO pairs of brutality equipment. Only one side or the other, even have Epics as F3. Towers have been awfully unlucky for me that way. A required brutality is what is expected now? How poorly thought through this boss level is.

Deathmark requirement is such a poorly thought through gameplay solution, especially since it’s at the end of the tree and punishes the unlucky sucker who now is restricted from bone shield/revenant so gets to watch his dudes get crushed with abandon while praying for a random deathmark to apply within 20s of specifically the right moment. So you double punish those players whose tower random equipment generator already hosed them over with no brutality equipment awards?

Not that there is any WB/NRS staff reading this, but I am a paid player. I’ve tossed some $ your way for absurdly priced packs as a thx for the FUN game. I’ve supported your team and work. But if this is no longer fun, you lose players and revenue.

@warped minnow Not designed to complain here... but to sell absurdly priced % chance equipment packs to reduce the negative punishments. That’s not a positive.

I’m not having much trouble with the Tower and my main team is FX basic golds. But basing ability to progress past a boss simply as random luck is such poor gameplay design.

@proper jacinth I beat fatal srt several times with my collection. In fact my collection is better than when the fatal srt started. The thing is with the fatal even though you where stuck a few days later you would have better equipment because of the normal tower. But now you don't have an 'easy' tower to help you get uncommon equipment

I do like challenges btw. And I like puzzles. I like to analyze problems and come up with a solution. But it feels like they design these teams exactly to avoid you being able to come up with a solution with a weaker team.

Okay I just did a fight. For my 2 figher characters the block breaker didn't trigger, and 1 combo (no special attack) is enough to kill my character. This is insane. You have to work so hard and the ai litterly just touches you and your characters are dead.

But yes that is exactly my whole point. The tower is to difficult if you don't have diamond characters. And it's almost impossible to get diamond characters in the game. In fact I think it's even become harder since the 3.0 update.

@ornate bronze Yes mk11 scorp is strong. I have him at fusion 2 but I don't think he deals enough dmg. My sub is f1 and kabal f3. I actually like to play with mk11 characters and I played a lot with them in fw and in srt tower but without any tower equipment they are to weak to use vs bosses.

@ornate bronze I agree with you to an extend. If I see I am making progress I'm kind of okay with 'bad tries' where I'm instantly death. It's when I feel like I'm just doing the same loop that it's starting to frustrate me. I also honestly think that overall update 3.0 made the game really bad. Because with the exception of challenge characters there is almost no way left you can advance in this game. So from a game that I liked to play because it could see myself advancing, it has now become a game that I play but not advance at all which leads me to playing it less and less.

We can see from Faction Wars there are ~7,600 players per faction, so about 38,000 active players. I have no idea the % of paid player and the average amount, but eCPM (ad revenue per 1000 impressions) of video ads is about $10-50.

So that’s 38,000 players watching ...let’s say 10 ads per day. That’s 380 eCPM * $25 (conservative middle of the scale) is $7,600 in ad revenue per day alone. Or $3.46M per year.

That alone pays for t-comp for a dev staff of ~20 FTEs. Everything else on top is gravy.

My summery of 160: All bosses have stupidly high damage and health to start. One of them you can’t power drain, the other drains and smashes you HP on tag-in and the last drains power while fighting plus he’s got a pet bat that blows you up.

Next they all get a defense shield that renders all your attacks and specials useless, so you have to kill time and wait for it to wear off. Which sucks more because the time limit is really low for a player to deal with considering all their damage, health, defense and utility; which gets even worse since they all have specials that (besides doing ridiculous amounts of damage) seemed to be animated in a way that runs out the clock.

Which brings us to the final F U to players, a resurrection that recovers about 40-50% of their total HP. WTF NetherRelm? This is only 160, I can only imagine it’s going to get much worse.

Sorry for the rant. I’m just really salty for wasting 15 turns and making zero progress on this stage. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

@mossy dune You have to change your talent tree to include max deathmark. And max “Precision” for increased chance at combo enders. And max Weak Point Attacks and power drain character (or use a character that has snare) so they can’t just check out and wipe the deathmark.

Then, pray Deathmark applies within 20s of the fatal blow.

Or you try again. And again. And again.
Because it’s solely based on luck now.

Yeah that one sucks. Everytime one of teammates died, they got 40% health. Never ending. And actually their health is SICKENING. 100k damage is not a scratch

I don’t play this game as much as I used to so irdc about wasting souls on refreshes, I’m too impatient to wait 12 hours. Klassic ermac will make boss fights much easier, and hopefully battles aren’t that hard before 100(I hear this was harder than FBDT? I got to around 173 on it so I should be able to get at least 100 on the NT).

If I was nrs, I wouldn't stoop so low as to make Raidens seem like little coward bitches, resurrecting, then tagging out. Weak points talent rarely kicks in. Drop rate for ToN Rare equipment is abysmal.

For dark magic modifiers Dark Raiden is the best. Continous healing plus the incoming dots is like he don't get no damage at all. Haha... It's just damn good. 😎

Resurrection bosses are just plain pain in the ass. Almost 30 fights in NT160. Now last 10+ with death mark and I got klassic out. Still maxed out death mark won't mark until it's too late and boss is either back in 50% or tags out immediately when I get it. Very frustrating combo that thwy switch out even through snare... Hate it.

Change your talent tree set up and max your death mark talent tree.... That is the first thing first....
Secondly am gonna recommend the characters to use in this match. The character must have snare and must be pretty fast.....
Warlock quanchi is useless there, use klassic Ermac equip him with soul medallion,unblockable and wrath hammer,use his sp2 which is snare to snare any of the raiden, then kill them one by one by snaring them.... Equip the rest with the tower gear and block breakers of course.... This is the first strategy....

Second strategy u can use is use mk11 scorpion in the first slot then mk11 so, then use klassic scorpion in third slot. Equip them with block breakers tag kladdoc scorpion in to bring back the previously tagged out opponent, then kill all of them like that. The character that must not die here is klassic scorpion....

Remember to change your talent tree too like I said, max death mark and weak point attacks in talent tree.... Teamwork too....

Battle 193 ToH has one annoying bug especially when you KO klassic Goro then he comes back with almost 50% health, the game just freezes at that point

Nightmare tower is pointless. I don't understand why the designers want to design a game mode that is virtually impossible to beat for everyone that doesn't pay or has been playing since before 2.0. I can't believe that they are this incompetent so I can only conclude that for some reason they purposely designed a tower that is impossible for their players to win. Battle 161 5 tries and not a single time did I even came close to winning.

Boss Battle NT 160 against three resurrecting Raidens awards a guaranteed tower eq card apparently. I was awarded an uncommon family tools. But Shao Kahn's Helmet also randomly dropped after one of my many failed be attempts 😋
