Johnny passive max and specials 1 and 2 maxed, of course all support cards maxed across the board, Scorpion all specials and passive maxed, Sonya, too.

Started with Johnny, tap like a maniac and attack, specials, whatever, until terminator has a bar of power, then tap to Sonya. Sonya knocks out stupid terminator. Tap like a crazy person attacking until you have a bar, maybe two bars on scorpion, switching between sonya and johnny as needed. REMEMBER: If you have a special, you need the opponent to be mid-basic attack to land it or during a successful attack before a combo ender. I can't block, drop a block and hit a special reliably, so I don't block. But with practice you can time this or your brain outright learns it. Once you have a reasonable amount of power for spec ops scorpion tag him in and when you are feeling lucky go for the special one - either luck (block breaker) or skill must be on your side, but once you connect, it's the usual 2 hits, 2 hits, 2 hits special 1 sequence with scorpion (this is partly because specter's infernal chains power drains, and spec ops scorpion gets that power drain and shares it with other strike force - only Johnny benefits in this team, so it's 16% more power going to spec ops scorpion. Anyway, this sequence if the right chances happen is enough to KO either stupid erron black or stupid lui kang. I had all three on mine survive the first KO. Same deal with the second one and then it's tap like a crazy person, tag in new characters, wait for basic attacks from terminator to hit specials, power drain until he's in exoskeleton form and then drive him into the ground rotating characters as needed or using scorpion Special 1 sequence above.

Side note: I don't have ice bomb fusion 10 so I can't use the Mand approach.

Don't the people who design these realize how unfun they are? Or do they deliberately make them so horribly unfun on purpose because they do think we will play them no matter what?

@warped minnow Appreciate it, I think I had at least 20 tries, Mostly with a full strike force team a few times with Mand's team despite not having the necessary Ice bomb FX, and some variations with the kombat cup characters and a shao Khan FX try as well. Trouble is a) their power generation is outrageous and there's not enough punk cassie to keep them drained, b) stupid erron black's special 1 cripples, and c) everyone cripples on tag in and c) stupid terminator like special 2 cripples.

@mystic pine True and for a long time I assumed I have just been unlucky. But I'm starting to wonder if the ingame chance is really what the game says it is. It almost seems like for you it's almost half but for the ai it's almost double. There has just been to many times for example assassin jade evaded 80% - 90% of the time. Another example you have higher blockbreaker than ai but your block breaker doens't trigger but ai's trigger from the first hit. There are many examples like this. So simply unlucky or something else?

@tribal beacon if anyone hasn't answered I think any of the normal tower boss fights give a gold character, keep attacking I once got edenian bracelets off a fail on Fatal 184, so you might get a piece of gear that unleashes you to climb a bit higher. I think normal 40 or 80 is a boss. I hear you there @warped minnow I had a lot of possible revenant in fatal 184 that didn't happen, either way, legit chances for revenant or something a little hinky, there is a chance for it to happen.

Fatal 184 they are also enraged, which is why their power generation is so difficult to deal with - power drain isn't really the way to go. Others have suggested redoing talent tree to use team work and weak point attacks (the one that gives chance to snare on a power drain), I don't have that set up on my talent tree.

Like Assassin Jade’s evade feeling too frequent, but in actuality it is not, you just remember bad things too often. Droprates are same too.

@hard tree This is also true. That's why I try to look at it rationally and search for reasons why some things might happen. For example I noticed that my opponents seem to get a lot more revenants in fw than I do. But I also use gold tremor which has a lot of hits on his special 2. But yes, it could be that I'm still biased despite me trying not to be.

@feral dawn that's the tactic I use against jade. No combo enders and no special 1 and 2. The thing is though. I should be having a higher chance to hit her with my special than I have not to hit her. But by doing this I'm treating it like a 100% hit chance while it' s only 40%. So I'm not sure if this is in fact the correct strategy. It is the least risky one though 🙂

@dry wing because that is the thing that is unique. You can get gold and diamonds in other ways to but not the tower equipment. For me the tower equipment is what pulls me in. Having a fusion 0 or f1 diamonds isn't going to make a difference for me at this point but I have used serveral bd tower gear pieces and I'm still using 1 at this moment.

@feral dawn While you can argue about the character, I really liked the concept. If you finish normal tower you always get the same 1 characters so yo can get this character to a sufficiently high fusion that he becomes useful.

@ripe summit search Youtube for some tips on fighting Jade, for one, there are some things that make it (seem?) less likely for her to evade. Like waiting for her to attack then going for the special. Practice over in Faction Wars....... And as to some things not seeming random, the RNG for packs comes from your phone, I think deep in the guts, so potentially reboot your phone. If you don't want to wait out the combo ender you are avoiding with Jade, swipe the OPPOSITE direction and the ender cancels out. @warped minnow too.

@tribal beacon so you know you won't be able to spend fragments all that efficiently, so if you have enough for the "next" fusion of Shao Khan, you could ease up a little. Especially since Relic Hunt is like every 3 months.

the amount of fragments needed for each fusion is known and published elsewhere but I have no idea what they are, it's in the neighborhood of each event being enough for a fusion with some fragments from Shao Khan tower thrown in. But the tower generates souls at a few places, too.....

Ok, FSRT Fatal Shirai Ryu tower 188 - It's my same team as Fatal 180 above, just start with Johnny and kind of alternate special 1 and special 2 so MK11 stays tagged in. Once Johnny dies (keep him in until he dies) Spec Ops Scorpion ought to have enough power to get a hit and start the special one sequence to kill MK11 scorpion. From there it's the same strategy for Mileena and Skarlett. Skarlett didn't evade much for me. I think you need to sacrifice your first character more or less to get Spec Ops Scorpion in, or wait until MK11 scorpion tags out then go with Spec Ops Scorpion.

I've slipped a little on normal shirai ryu tower, because i tend to realize it's almost 2 pm here at about 1:50 pm, and do fatal but normal slips with 0 tries played, but for perspective I got SO STUCK on Fatal 184, that I'm currently on Fatal 189, first run, and the second run of normal difficulty I'm at tower 135 if I win this third fight.

@opaque escarp If you character is F4 with SRT equipment you can beat it. Just battle 180 on Fatal. I had to buy packs. I was not getting around it.

Math wise, I'm on normal 335, and fatal 189, that means I've lost or slipped playing on almost 200 fatal difficulty battles. I would give 50 losses on Fatal 184 fairly confident.

Fatal Shirai Ryu tower 180 FSRT I was able to slowly beat, because it's a boss battle. You have to grind down the first two and then try to special 1 chain the spec ops scorpion, but the other annoying element there is it's a timed battle, so you can only get so far each fight. But it's essential some kind of scorpion be used on that Fatal 180. I think I wrote about Fatal 180 here if it's any help.
