The muddy drag is. Does this not keep your fastest time? When they race your ghost
@loud river I showed you my muddy drag results. That's the most recent race I did. And you can see the times at the same for those results that I showed you. 18.261. how are they getting points when their time is slower? Here's five races I lost from that.
And that is just off the muddy drag

So there's the issue. Looking at your actual times you got 32.413 and they got 33.513
But the race history shows their time as 31.600 which is what it showed on the Opponent Select screen
So there's some data fetching issue around opponent times that we need to look into

@arctic fulcrum I completely disagree Carter. When you spend hours and hours over three or four days for an event, to achieve a certain level because the game is messed up, you have to be upset. Why waste your time?!Everyone should let them know what's going on and they should take it seriously and not make excuses. That will Garner them much more appreciation and people want to stay around and support it. Namaste

We fully acknowledge issues when they come up. What I've done is explained that this is a display or data fetching issue of some kind and that the underlying game systems appear to be working just fine

I am Indonesian, my currency value is very low compared to foreign currencies, 1 dollar = 14,600 thousand rupiah. basically this game is expensive for me and I can still compete with players whose countries are bigger and advanced compared to my country. It's not in our interest to allow cheaters. We have automated systems that can detect cheaters and we actively monitor the game for any and all exploits, banning accounts that show this behaviour

If you beat your opponent you win points, if they beat you, they win points. That system is all very robust

@loud river let the record reflect that this was the main complaint you choose to focus on... as the real main complaint with the h2h event was the fact that spenders were (still are) spam-buying tickets... and the response was to jack up the prices of retries and refills... affecting EVERYONE, not just spenders...

To me it seems the people taking the biggest fall are the ones with moderately upgraded trucks. Selection wise you can hit an easy opponent with a slow time (+2 points) or lose to a fully maxed truck (more points but honestly can’t win 90%) of the time. Add on that the faster you try to set a time, the more points someone with a slightly more upgraded truck can farm off you and you end up on the bottom of the leaderboard. Those with lesser upgraded trucks don’t face this problem as their times are too slow to warrant people wanting to farm 2 points off of them, and getting higher point offers as there aren’t many people slower than them

I stopped playing all day today. Played near the end and even then I let go 1 ticket and 1 ad refill.
It’s either 2 points or nothing. No matter how many refills I did, a few hours later I was back at zero.
This was a screwup at our expense. This needs a reimbursement.

Oh, now it works. When it loaded it became "1" again so that "1" was only bugged indicating a 0

There's nothing to fix in the ladder as it is now. It's meant to be 10 rungs but the 0/20 display is a code issue for displaying the corrent number of rungs.
There shouldn't be anything stopping players from taking part in the ladder (unless I've missed an issue?)

Race 10 : first turn - come inside ....2nd turn --- again come inside but as soon as you turn use nitro ; slightly earlier then you would do normally... on the last turn again come from inside... that is the only way to complete it.
The trick is to come out of 2nd turn before AI else they will just crash into your truck: & that's only possible if nitro is used early

@slate oasis exactly what i did, and got it done on the first try. Having your K5 fully upgraded to stage 5 parts also helps.

I noticed something strange: according to the log, i was beaten twice by the same person, on the same track, at the same time... my only explanation is that there’s a duplication, resulting in me losing twice the points.
Please note how the two logs at the bottom, and how both say “14 minutes ago”... it is my understanding that the tracks cycle through, so, there’s no way a player can race you and beat you TWICE on the same track, within the same minute...
If I’m missing something please let me know.
Also notice that the times are exactly the same, which again tells me there’s a duplication.

@sharp wyvern The team have looked into the issue and it's one they are aware of. The error shows the loss twice in the race history, but you only had one loss deducted from your points.
Just to reassure you that the display on the table isn't correct 100% but your points are.

I could actually verify the deductions as i kept the screen shots before and after. So I am afraid I am not ready to believe that there is no duplication is points deductions as I have verified it personally 🙂 on number of occasions last week.

@worldly knot bugs are something that you will always see with any software development and we go to great lengths to try and find them before launching. Sometimes things slip through and we need to fix them at a later point.
Fixing bugs takes time and updates require a lot of coordination so something like this can take anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks to get a fix out. We didn't communicate it because it doesn't occur for all players and it's not a game breaking issue.

just so you know:
Muddy Drag with the K5 is a complete gamble... and it can turn into a gold pit really fast...
you can take the exact same racing line and use the nitro at the same spot, 10 times in a row, and have a different outcome on each single try!
The way I’m dealing with it is by keeping an eye on my best time, and trying to replicate it as often as possible... but I’m not even picking the middle ghost anymore, otherwise it’s going to be a gold drain... every single time.
I wish they just eliminate this track from this event, and put River Run instead; that track suits the K5 perfectly, and is one of the very few new elements (track wise) and is a fun track to race...
I still don’t get why it wasn’t included on this event on the first place... only god knows what the “rationale” for that decision was... but frankly, at this point none of the weird stuff going on this game seems surprising to me anymore...

I have 2 questions, not necessarily bugs but it’s been fairly inconsistent for a while and not sure which channel they go in
1: Are other players racing our ghosts with our fastest time or last time? It makes a huge difference which one it is, as it changes how we approach each race. It looked like for a period of time we switched to fastest time, and now we’re back on last time?
2: Do we not get easy opponents at all anymore? Sometimes I don’t have the time to keep retrying the same opponent over and over again just to shave a few milliseconds off and beat them and would rather just grab a few points but this is pretty much trapping us into redoing the same race over and over until a) we beat them or b) we use a lot of gold and lose

It’s all BS I’ve beat this guy in this h2h over & over again and beat him with no problem! Nothing has changed our pp’s are still the same but now he pulls away with little chance of catching him! Funny too how his truck is not bouncing around but is more smooth as if he’s running on a flat track instead of an uneven rough off-road track! yesterday i was convinced of the same, i even recorded a couple of races, because i could swear i was dealing with a cheater... but after a couple of tries, and without changing anything on my approach to to the race (race line, nitro, etc.) all of a sudden i got the “magical grip”, and was able to beat the guy.
What I’m trying to say is that, in my humble opinion, and regarding Muddy Drag specifically, I think its an issue with the track and the physics they configured on the K5, due to the tire size, grip, height, center of gravity, suspension travel, etc.
In other words, the simulation parameters DONT WORK WELL with this truck, on this particular track.

We can see what is displayed in the game and what the Server (The systems that run all of these functions and is the authority on what actually happened) said.
The Server is the 'point of truth' from our perspective. As such, even though the Race History lists the same thing twice the Server doesn't so it's not actually impacting the results

This is where the user interface isn't quite as clear as we thought it would be. What's happened there is that that person has raced your ghost twice in a 30 minute window

and it says 'Active' for when you raced them and 'Ghost' for when they raced you

@slate oasis this one is tricky to explain but I'll try. In any match-up game it takes a while to 'calibrate' scores.
When you start a PvP we don't have any time data. What we do is try to estimate your time based on PP and give a points reward based on that. However, the time delta for 40 points is only 0.3s faster than your fastest time so that is likely why a given player's first set of races may give them a bit of a points boost
@ripe charm I've raced that race a lot against other Hutchies and finding the perfect line is very difficult.
Tiny tweaks to the line you take add up to tens of hundreds of milliseconds in the time delta between you and your opponent. Finding the exact right place to land that jump even makes a difference. I found holding my boost until going up the hill is what gave me an edge.
Racing at this level is just highly competitive. We are hoping with the next changes that opponent selection will be better

I know this sounds unfair because we pick your opponents based on your best time but this was done to try and stop people gaming the system by 'smurfing'.
Under the hood if you keep losing we actually have a 'protection' system that will search for slower/easier opponents - this is to try and help someone out if they're having a really bad run or if something else is leading to losses.
What we're trying to with our next update is pick better opponents
In fact, I can tell you the goal:
Where the system linearly interpolates points between these 4 times
and the Matchmaking selection tries to fetch:
Opponent A - Easy = Closest to +1.25
Opponent B - Medium = Closest to +0.75 but not slower
Opponent C - Hard = Closest time to +0.25 but not slower

@fallow timber Your Ads are failing to boot. The music for the game is designed to stop when an advert plays and then restart after. So, the missing piece here is the advert but the Audio is doing the correct thing.

About your new linear system, would that take into account different tracks? More specifically, I’m thinking of the ones like Beach Road or Main Street where the time difference is far smaller across opponents due to the track being fairly straight so you get less variation in race lines

All that is legitimate, but, actually, what is there left to “win” for us? I’m to the point where I just like to win when I’m actually racing. I don’t care about my position in the standings. I would love to be able to use the vehicles I actually like to use. Easy money off road is MUST for me. Daily off road rewards would be cool as well. On road there are keys at minimum. Sometimes a part Off road there zero!!!

We've detailed the changes we have made to the system in the #🎮│game-updates channel
We made a change where we moved towards slightly different times for points and changed those points to win: +2/+30 and lose: -1/-15 and a floor on scores at 0.
We found issues with that so we reverted back to win: +10/+40 and lose -10/-40 keeping the floor on scores and slightly tweaking the time delta

Okay so the way the system works is that when you finish a race we upload that to the server and your opponent downloads that ghost to race against
When you next do that track we overwrite the previous ghost with your latest one
Those times are very close 25.716 and 25.691
All of those races say '1 hour ago'
What I suspect happened is that your opponent selected a ghost just before you put down a new time

Also @loud river, the fact that you just expressed that replacing a track in the middle of an ongoing event could break it, literally, tells me it might be a good idea to put in place an “emergency protocol” to be able to do it in the future, if a similar issue happens again; remember, people are spending real money on this.

BTW I’m 350pp and my opponent is 352pp, i have no tier 6 upgrades, have two tier A augments on intake, and the rest is all B’s (7 branded, and the rest is all generic B’s).
You can clearly see i was taking the “recommended” race line on most attempts, and yet my opponent took the right hand side (where there’s less grip), yet it took me many tries to beat him... also, on some attempts i went and tried his racing line, and there’s an instance where we did the EXACT SAME move while in air, yet when we both landed, he had way more traction and went ahead.
So, if the track has some sort of “magic spot” you need to hit before the jump, how come he was able to take the “least favorable” racing line, and come out ahead on that many times?
Oh, and also: 16 extra attempts = 160 gold.

@sharp wyvern there is no right or wrong line on this track its all by chance ... i wasted 100 gold again today just to reproduce my time which was impossible and then all of sudden i got it in 11th attempt ; when Ian runs the race he has no bumps you can see in his video and no server load either no ghost blocking your view etc ... so just don't stress yourself out 👍👍👍

This morning i went to the resources store to pick today’s parts, as I’ve been doing since that feature was introduced; I didn’t even noticed the switch from cash to gold until after i did my first purchase, meaning i accidentally bought the first one with gold... seeing that other players were able to buy it with cash:
- i want my gold back, please.
- i want the rest of the items to be made available to me for cash, so i can buy them.
Allowing some players to buy these parts for cash, while others have to pay in gold, means you are basically giving an advantage to some players over the rest, which is particularly troublesome on a RACING game.
Also, it makes us feel TARGETED, and begs the question: how else am i being targeted on this game?
This just opens a new can of worms.....
I will go ahead and open a ticket right now, i hope Luna is ready to deal with the amount of claims heading her way...

I even purchased the first one, not being aware of the "silent switch" on currency. No player has been able to buy Tier 6 parts with cash this afternoon.
There was a server update at lunch today that meant anyone logging into the game in the afternoon saw the T6 Items on sale for Gold instead of Cash.
The change for Tier 6 parts to be sold for Gold instead of Cash was made on the 17th June; We weren't aware the update wasn't live on the 17th as we thought, so it was pushed out at lunch today as a part of other updates.
The offer for cash didn't go to specific people - it went to those who were online this morning before our server updates.
The change going out in the middle of the day was not deliberate and not ideal. The gold cost for the parts is still more affordable that trying to obtain the same number of T6 parts via events.

It's still cheaper overall to purchase all three Tier 6 parts with Gold instead of cash when comparing the cost of each currency in the store ($3 for gold, or about $18 for cash).
It wasn't intended to look like "bait and switch", I would ideally liked to have been able to post a message in the #🎮│game-updates channel in good time to let players know we intended to make the change.
I apologise on behalf of the team that we didn't communicate the changes before the 17th, regardless of todays issue. Being better at communicating this type of important information to players is something we need to improve.

It's still cheaper overall to purchase all three Tier 6 parts with Gold instead of cash when comparing the cost of each currency in the store ($3 for gold, or about $18 for cash).

@loud river himself promised us a parts store using just in-game cash, and the reason for that was (and still is) the lousy, frustrating "farming" system the game currently has, and the fact that there's such a big imbalance that most players have capped amounts of parts on one section, and zero parts on other section... while having millions of in-game cash, that were seldom used...
so, finally the store went live, we were happy because at last we were getting some parts....
.... and just a week after the launch.... heeeeeere comes the greed train!
... and while were at it, let's also do it in such a poor way, that some players will end up buying the 3 parts for cash, while others will have to buy them for gold...
... and when the whole thing blows up, lets just issue an apology, and all will be good, as if nothing happened.
that's how "effective" the current system is on creating scarcity... so they can later "offer" us the "opportunity" to buy with gold (=real money).

I am pretty sure the key crate's drop rate has been changed behind our back as well. I haven't received a single goldcoin lately. Doesn't matter if they were gold, silver, or bronze crates.
My favorite was when the h2h point system has been changed. I ended up with the off road competition on position where i won 100 silver keys. And I've opened 4500 cash and a Nissan Silvia (the cheapest car). Nothing else 🤔😁
Hutch you become way too hungry. Before i spent quite a lot of money on this game, but since the h2h changes, i refuse to attend any which requires golds to enter. Only playing on ladders, because of the fusion credits and doing only free entry competitions. BTW this 40 fusion credit is a joke too. You will need 25+50 for max out your D tier car. And now you will end up with 2 stars car and 15 left off fusion credits what you can't use for anything. Ridiculous

Hey Hutch , pls refrain from making such changes to the game. We were earlier told that the items in the shop would be available for cash but now it can be bought for gold.
For players like me who don't spend on the game , gold is something we collect so rarely. I have a total of 400 golds I collected out from Ads crate and sometimes 30-40 from silver crate only since I cant afford Gold crates.

The worst part of this is that a small group of players, who literally have no limitation on spending (either by hacking or by using real money) will undoubtedly gain an advantage over the rest... so, on top of the issue of unrestricted ticket buying during h2h events, now we will have a small group of players buying all these tier 6 parts with gold, and by doing so they will leave everyone else behind, and you either play catch up with them or simply forget about ever again winning any relevant prize on h2h events.
Also, with Hutch’s ability to run simulations and all, and judging by the amount of shady stuff going on this game, one can’t help but wonder if Hutch even plants bots/fake players with “unlimited pockets”, so that we all feel the need to “chase” them, and by doing so, we end up spending real money... of course, i have no way of proving that such practice occurs, but honestly, am i the only one thinking Hutch is capable of something like that? Don’t think I’m the only one... and THAT should concern Hutch.
We don’t want to be here complaining. We rather be enjoying the game. But the fact that we feel the need to come here on a daily basis, to fight against what we consider is unfair for us, the paying customers of this company, tells you everything you need to know.

So @loud river , after all the things that have been said here on the past 24-48 hours, you now finally show up, and what you choose to do is:
1- warn ( = intimidate) some players for daring to speak their minds, amidst all the frustration going on.
2- give one-line “responses” to probably the least pressing remarks expressed, while ignoring the rest.
3- Tell other players to stop being annoying to the one SINGLE player that shows “compliance” with all you say and do.
Yesterday we where PLAYED, and we got rightfully frustrated by it.
Some of us were asked for gold, while others were asked for in-game cash.
You promised us a parts store using in-game cash precisely because of the fact that we don’t get enough parts to feel we are advancing on this game, and because the in-game cash was simply piling up... then, out of the blue, you made a sudden change, in the middle of the day, that now just DANGLES the parts we need, but forces us to pay with real money if we want them.
I’m sorry to say this, I really am, but after this, you have just proven to us that your word is not worthy of our trust.
Anything you say, anything you promise to do... has to be taken with a grain of salt. And that’s on you, not us.
Also, I’m not deliberately being provocative, harsh or disrespectful... I’m just stating the obvious, and conveying the current sentiment of your paying customers.
I honestly wish there was a way for me to get a refund for at least half of all the money i have spent on this game/business scheme, so i can peacefully walk away... and be done with all this nonsense.
Any other company on any other segment using these practices would face serious consequences, at least here in the US. It is clear that the gaming industry, specially the mobile segment, is in great need of oversight.

The resource shop was great when it was first introduced, as we could 1) use our ever-growing pile of cash and 2) obtain s6 parts at a decent rate. Now if you’re charging 300 gold for 3 parts....for example, a Tier A car needs 120 s6 parts to fully max out - direct conversion means it’ll cost 12k gold to finish?

I just paid $60 for The Last of Us Part 2, a game that took 7 years to make, and i paid for it knowing i was going to get a good experience/entertainment out of it.
So far so good.
I also paid $60 for the division 2 a while ago, and i even purchased an expansion for another $40, and so far i have had 636 hours on the online multiplayer mode, with real-time voice chat, and playing with friends and family, and to this day, the game still adds content regularly...
in contrast, i've been forced to pay HUNDREDS of dollars on this mobile game, just to have the brief satisfaction of saying "i got all the trucks"... and the big prize truck? i haven't even been able to use it yet...

Some players have even expressed to me the fact that they are only sticking around for the community... and the fact that this community is mostly active because we are constantly feeling the need to come here and complain, instead of having actual fun racing, tells you all you need to know about the state of the game.
And don't be fooled by the fact that you only see a few of us actually saying something... we might leave today or tomorrow, but everyone with a hint of common sense will eventually figure out what's going on, and how expensive this game really is, and rather sooner than later they too will move on.

This is why many stiil love that game. Here the races are for about 20sec or 30 and with 2-3 sec penalty if you get crashed 😐

It is the same with the odds on resources. The roll each time can result in a number of different outcomes

I mean drop rates are accurate over a larger sample size, which is evident if you’ve been playing/upgrading for a while. The problem is the requirement of which parts are needed for specific Tiers. Tier C and B only need 1 type of resource for each upgrade but A and S need 2 of each type, and this naturally leads to a decrease in one type of every resource for each upgrade that builds up the more cars you upgrade

The reason for the discrepancy in number held is the requirements per car by Tier.

Mmmm it's not really a bug as you had a Tier C car selected and that locked the Boss.
Might be smoother if it showed it as unlocked because you have a Tier B car in your Garage with the correct PP, but then brought up the pop-up to make you switch the car

Sometimes the third party that supplies the adverts will supply one that doesn't work and it causes an issue in the game.
If you have Advert errors, it's worth saying in here that you've got an error and what device you're on, so we can check the analytics for that OS and see if we can spot the issue.
Sometimes it does resolve itself because the Ad provider will offer a different advert that works.
Same goes for noisy adverts when you have audio muted! A screenshot of the offender in here is good and we can report the Advert and block it.

We don't review them, the third party is only meant to be supplying ads suitable for all ages. So anything that comes up - yes, 100% make us aware. We can block the advert and flag with the supplier. If its persistent we can take further action too.
