#Fully charged battery, 28awg wire to single accent pixel. Why is it turning orange?

I assume there is a data line resistor, and that there is no data in the config telling the pad it's on to be orange. if that's the case I would try a different data pad, or no data pad and power the pixel and see what happens, if it's still orange, the pixel is bad.
