His saber being orange could also be a fun little nod to Plo Koon’s original saber being orange
Plo Koon was also a Djem So user and fought with a very heavy-handed style that we see from Skoll, and Anakin himself said something about Plo Koon being a challenge to fight, which could explain why Skoll seems to be on par (if not better than) Ahsoka
