#Ahsoka Series discussion

I think I’d probably be upset
I want it to be actually Anakin in this timeline
Like where he’s at in the moment
The same way if he showed up as a force ghost to her
during the ideas stage of TFA, before a script was finalized (and before anything about Last Jedi was worked on) there was concept art of Vader's essence against Anakin's ghost
Yeah I remember reading that
Would’ve been interesting
And better than not using him at all
😭
knock some sense into ur grandson boi
Blame jj abrams and his prequel hate boner
Interesting to see “jedi” with armor inspired by actual knights rather than samurai style stuff or monk style robes
huh
if you search Baylan in Tenor gifs there's already ones from today's ep
although it's been about five hours
by the way, if anyone wants to know about mortis from the man himself https://youtu.be/fwrxEJBx5TE
Supervising director Dave Filoni discusses the mysteries of the Mortis trilogy.
Like my Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/mranderson00001collection
any idea why his saber is so dark?
doesn't look like the regular ol ep 3 saber
its like black
Tf was marrok about? Undead night sister like in fallen order?
It's reflective chrome in a void that is mostly black
Yeah it’ll only be dark because it’s surrounded by black/dark material
but its not THAT full reflective chrome though
but maybe ur right
Black doesn’t reflect light
its def the ep 3 hilt, just looks darker than usual
then why is the chrome in the center chrome
There's barely enough light to begin with AND it's obscured
Master Replica ROTS hilt didn't chrome it
hmm
Because light somewhere in the studio would be catching that part of the clamp
That one was plastic
anyone think hes gonna turn to vader
You’re plastic
we got the vader theme at the end before credits
nvm, its 100% graflex
after seeing the 4k version
It’s absolutely his episode 3, not a graflex
I think that's what he means
both the start and end of this episode got me hyped
first it's David Tennant saying affirmative, most likely refrencing K9 from Doctor Who and then Hayden in the World Between Worlds
I’m so hyped for the next episode
same
imagine Ahsoka finding the portal to Ezra and just waiting there for Morgan to arrive and her then be like "how tf?"
holy shit
I nvr thought I'd see actual kenjutsu in Star wars one day
The lightsaber combats were always inspired. But Ahsoka with her forms are just kenjutsu for reals.
also Marrok being a complete nobody hahaha. I saw it coming
Is it wrong that I’m annoyed with Sabine
I think it was just the lighting tbh, the right side looked fine but the left looked off to me but i think that's because there was no contrast on that side of his face
made it look a bit flat and smooth
The CGI did disappoint me this time
how else to get more story if not for CIS.
What does cis mean
Banger episode tbh
It’s just that Sabine annoyed me a bit
I felt that she wouldn’t have gave him the mcguffin
Considering all the hard decisions she had to make in rebels
Confederacy of Independent Systems
Am I the only one?
Nah she kinda annoying
I say she's just as stubborn as in Rebels
Marrok slaying reminded me of Ahsoka killing the Inquisitor in Tales of the Jedi
bruh I thought that entire ahsoka episode was some sort of vision
dude deflated like a balloon
wtf are these inquisitors
at least all the theories on who Marrok is are over
it feels like a psychedelic dream, reminds me of that one clone wars episode with evil yoda
he was some random Nightsister zombie is all he was
was he?
idk, but the green smoke he emmited did imply nightsister magic
Anakin looking so bad because the Marrok dust hasn’t fully settled into Anakin form
ye his de-aging CGI was horrible
modern Star Wars CGI is soo good, how does de-aging look so bad
can't really deepfake some other actor either, cause Hayden's still alive
wait, deepfake Hayden with himself lol
I disagree, I think it looks good and way better than what they did in Kenobi
character induced stupidity
I’m sure this method is cheaper
I’m cool with the deaging. It’s not the best but it’s good enough for me. What I’m not okay with is the Grand Inquisitor in Kenobi. That was just horrible
they didn't do anything in kenobi though
I don't even think CGI is needed, plenty of makeup can do wonders too, right?
Not really, they kinda tried that with both Ani and Obi in that flashback scene and both still looked like 50 year olds
ah
50?
no way
Anakin looked more mature but 50 seems a stretch
I'd say around late 30s early 40s lol
That was an exaggeration for sure but they looked old for sure lol
like I agree he doesn't fit here
def not a padawan lol
should've done cgi here
looks like a more mature Ani
Looks older than ROTS too
Only thing we know is some nightsister magic
I legit thought it was a vision of somekind cause of how they deflate once defeated like how obi wan died
Obi Wan wasn’t a vision though. He sublimated into force
I know
but it makes it a bit confusing when it comes to the inquisitors
when defeated there is usually a corpse
At this point in time inquisitors should all be dead I think
but with some inquisitors they dissipate or vanish
space magic
I hope we never get an answer
the green dust/smoke made me think it was supposed to be a nightsister conjure
YES THIS, fucking Baylan, former jedi, jedi being basically wizards, calls the nightsister's form of the force 'witchcraft'
buddy grew up around space wizards but a green flame and a holographic map is witchcraft
yes, but he acts surprised
I don’t understand how Baylan could pose any form of threat to ahsoka. She’s fought how many force users by now, and all elite ones? Vader, maul, ventress, (did she fight dooku in clone wars?)
And baylan, some nobody former jedi is giving her problems…
When she was in rebels and basically trounced those two inquisitors without even trying really. Feels inconsistent
I feel like ahsoka’s power level has been underwhelming in live action, I mean it makes for interesting storytelling instead of her steamrolling everyone but it doesn’t make sense at the same time
what if, Baylan came to Vader after order 66 and managed to survive by being trained by Vader?
similar to Starkiller
He's back
Who's to say Baylan didn't become more powerful in the years after. While not explicitly said, I believe he's tapped at least somewhat into the dark side.
Speculation based on the credits sequence, which has several lines converging on a single point: the multiple paths all racing to the galaxy far far away
The Halo ofThe Ring ofThe Eye of Sion using technology- Ahsoka using magic through the WBW to travel
- Hera and the New Republic using nature by following the Purgill as Jacen gets a Force Telegram from Ahsoka to chart the course and talk to the Star Whales
- ||Chopper. That is all.||
I agree with 4.
It makes sense
just had the same idea. like wtf it just fell off. wondering if they had that happen just to expose her face
I have never seen a Mandalorian with a chinstrap in their helmet
They just throw on a bucket and go to work
piggybacking off of this i compiled some crude comparisons of stances from kenjutsu/arts of japanese swordsmanship
reminds me of how kendo had an influence on the OT fights
I think Anakin is the new father maybe?
As the chosen one he’s still keeping balance between the daughter and the son?
My question is in what world/way is another galaxy any indication that a multiverse is gonna be implemented
I think critiquing the CGI too much is a waste.
At least for what Hayden looks like.
I was actually happy that Marrok was nothing.
Just smoke
I think the series has been pretty good with using action in a way that's not just people fighting.
I do wish Ahsoka backhanded her sabers a bit more
Idk. She’s versatile as heck. Every episode she changes her style so much and it’s really neat. I love reverse hold but this is even more impressive. She’s grown so much
.
It’s a shame this actor passed away. He’s definitely a cool and interesting character. I’m not sure if he lives but his really the most neutral fallen Jedi I’ve seen. And he’s so calm instead of being the typical frustrated fallen Jedi. Perfect match up with Ahsoka. The only other chill ex Jedi
Parallel Universe is too big brain for them so they're going with Parallel Galaxy
is anakins saber full chrome except the clamp is a brushed finish?
i thought the clamp had the same finish as the rest of the body but my friend says different
and it does look this way in ahsoka, but i thought it was not a full mirror finish in ROTS, and i thought the clamp was the same finish as the rest
on the aniflex elite its the same finish on the clamp
whats more accurate
oh nvm
you're saying they all are accurate because every prop they used for the movie is different?
No I’m saying the Master Replicas is based on the Master Prop which had a brushed clamp. This one wasn’t screen used. The Screen used resin casts had a fully chromed body
ok, so the ROTS one had a chrome clamp, but this one in ahsoka must be brushed
It’s not very clear yet but if it is an MR then maybe
well if it was chrome it would reflect and be darker like the rest of the body
Not necessarily. It’s hard to tell because of the lighting
My MR LE looks completely chromed in the dark
yeah im sure we'll get a better look next episode anyway
Imagine if they couldn't find his ROTS saber so props had to find and gut a Master Replica
seems like the only non chrome part is whatever these are called
Knurling can be chromed, it’s just lighting that makes it seem that way
What we should be taking ab tho is why does he have a lightsaber at all and why is he in his ep3 robes and not his robes from rotj🤔
Ahhh gotcha
That’s what I’m saying, I wonder what explanation they have for that
Unless he’s from the past? But then why did he say “didn’t expect to see you so soon”
I truly hope it’s really him and that force ghosts can kinda just go where they want and show up how they want
Maybe wearing the outfit to make ahsoka more comfortable
Or it’s the son fucking with ahsoka
or it’s a vision/hallucination type thing
ahsoka’s guilt manifesting
I keep forgetting when Ahsoka takes place on the timeline. The rebels crew is messing with my brain. Ahsoka seems to be in some trance in a force dimension kinda how Cal sometimes went. Im thinking this is really Anakin since after his death he went went back to this form as a ghost
I mean it's not that hard right? This version is what ahsoka sees/remembers him as. The force ghost in rotj is his own projection.
Right which has been discussed that Vader and Anakin are two different people. Even though they're not.
If it’s her subconscious then it could be her memory of him. That’s equally a possibility at this point.
But it’s also possible it’s a force situation
That’s what everyone wanted people to believe. Obi and Ahsoka could never separate them.
They tried. But they keep having conflict about it
The Jedi Masters can say what they want. This particular group is very emotionally invested in each other.
And I'm sure that what ahsoka is going through is some sort of force hallucination.
Anakin had some trouble manifesting as a force ghost a bit later on in the timeline. I wonder if the WBW is used as like a force ghost training ground
Everyone talking about TWBW and not the most important thing in Ahsoka.......why doesn't Shin blink?
honestly haven't noticed that.
I agree, I'd let her
....CGI could use some work lol
They really should have stuck with what they did with Hayden in Kenobi.
Agreed
I disagree. CGI looks fine and way better than 40 year old Padawan
I mean 40 years old is preferable to me lol. At least it won't look even worse in the future
Which is weird cause I thought it looked spectacular in BoBF with Luke
I thought I would like since I liked it with Better Call Saul, but seeing Padawan Ani look 40 just looks weird
I think we still need to wait til next episode to see whats up
Maybe we'll get a CW flashback
I heard rumors of a big flashback but it sounds ludicrous
Then again they're showing it in theaters lol
But if they do that I don't think 40ish minutes would be enough
I think they're both bad. 40 year old Padawan was lame. But the CGI skin looks too smooth to me.
But if I had to choose, I'd take CGI. It shows me they at least tried.
Y'all starting to get obsessive.
Y'all just want to get stepped on don't you lol
My daughter and I are looking to do cosplays of Baylan and Shin. You hornballs are making me reconsider.
it's only a vocal portion, not everyone
Yeah. I wasn't calling everyone hornballs. I was calling the hornballs, hornballs.
Wasn't that deepfake?
Please not another order 66 one
Very clear distinction
I fking love the Kenjutsu used by Ahsoka this week
Just 99.99%
Gotta be honest, I don't particularly find her like hot lol
Like she's cute yeah. So is Sabine and Others
It's weird cause when it comes to Star Wars my hot meter seems to turn off
Like if my child side takes over and wants to enjoy cool space opera
I think there's only one exception to that rule for me
Anyways
Rewatched Rebels and just got to the end. It ends sooo good
They know who they are.
top 10 crackpot theories
Bkack chrome Graflex
iirc by the time Ghost Anakin realises that Palps is returning, he can barely manifest and has a ton of trouble getting a message to luke about it
Doesn't help that Luke closed himself off from the force as well
naw this was when he was searching for Exegol
Damn Jedi ghosts can't corporate themselves when it's super important
Is that a joke?
I don't know really because some SW fans can say dumb stuff sometimes
has to be a joke lol
Lighting can throw someone off a lot at times lol
He looks older in that pic
Hopefully
No it’s Vader’s Saber
It’s dark and not silver, therefore Vader’s Saber
Honestly the deaging didn't bother me at all
Same
I just saw Anakin there it was like oh I wonder what lesson he's going to teach ahsoka.
I just think it could look better lol
Oh I'm sure it could look better. But it's not what I'm going to nitpick about.
It was funny seeing some people go
ITS ANAKIN!
to
Oooh the deaging...
Wow people really are sure that it's a new hilt
Like they're saying it's a Vader/Anakin fusion Graflex lol
MPFlex?
Maybe people are NOW just finding out Anakin’s EP3 is different from the OT Graflexes and that’s where the confusion is
That does seem to happen a fair amount here
So the DV6 xD
WHAT
Oh maybe people are
Wait til Anakin reveals the actual lightsaber next episode
Im excited for this episode. Hoping that the fact that it is IN THEATERS means it is going to be a long and exciting episode
GG @half sleet, you just advanced to level 11!
lol I dig this clamp card
So strange, seems like de aging would’ve been easier to do far away when he’s not really emoting
Dude honestly RDJ’s was terrifying was not a fan of his deaging
No clue if it was intentional or not but it definitely feels like the writers made should Sabine’s stab was placed somewhere non fatal
This is sick
Also Finn got his entire spine slashed but lived after likely months of medical treatment so it’s not like
It’s not like lightsabers got nerfed or whatever people are saying
It’s almost as if medical technology has advanced in 20 years
I mean, it’s almost as if the wounds were delivered in different places under different circumstances resulting in different outcomes

thats it?!
well, Id rather hear it is allegedly 1:15
agreed https://imgur.com/a/grzxlCX
Some bodysnatchers looking mf
Anakin lightsaber next episode

The reason I think the one he’s using is a Master Replicas is because under dark lighting the MR looks like this:
You can barely tell the clamp is aluminum vs chromed
I'm willing to accept this
I have to wait till tomorrow due to timezones 🫠
Assuming you mean Ahsoka
Cause today is also the day they officially revealed the Venator!
Getting closer!
So excited!!!
Can’t believe tonight’s the night Ahsoka presses the “erase the sequel trilogy” button.
568
Guarantee there are those out there that believe this, now.
FUCK ME UPPPPPPP
Such a good fucking episode omfg
I'm not 100% sure what happened. But that was awesome!
I sobbed
I need to know what was going on with Anakin tho like
Need more Anakin
I was really hoping he was the father but 🤷♂️
Live action Ahsoka without a headband looks so cursed 😭
felt like I was invading her privacy there

We've seen Anakin after this in the timeline, and he's still just a jedi ghost.
I like how she’s actually happy now
So is before it was Ahsoka the Grey and now it's Ahsoka the White?
does anyone know where the map dias was shot irl?
cause that's a gorgeous cliff
or is it not real
Genuienly need to know what the Anakin stuff was tho like if it was the force or if it was actually him getting ahsoka to want to live idk
Need more of him and hopefully him as a force ghost
Maybe we'll see him in the Finale again
But I think it was him
Atleast it wasnt the Son like people theorized
Loved all the transitions and the back and forth between Anakin and Vader.
The deaging did look better. But I still think the skin is just a tad too smooth.
Agreed that it didn't look 100% but it was genuinely really good
Glad they did that and not 40 year old Hayden
It was very good. I'm being hyper critical.
or Marrok.
I’m so curious why he went into Vader Anakin tho
like I’m just confused
A bit
I also wish they talked about his fall and stuff that would’ve been cool
My biggest gripe was the map. Baylen did a straight lightsaber thrust through it, he didn’t fruit ninja it in half right?
Oh my god it’s vaders lightsaber I swear!!!
It may be something referencing the Father in Mortis, where he could switch between Light and Dark
But not too sure either
I liked it though
y'all remember the 2005 Anakin lightsaber by Hasbro that changes color from Red to Blue?
Keeping the balance beyond the grave etc
That might be why he has trouble manifesting as a force ghost to Luke later on. Still a lil darkside lurkin
I had that one
I hope not
Huyang: "Jacen has abilities. His father, Kanan Jarrus, was a Jedi."
Carson: ??????
I also like the fact they wrote hatden to have jokes and quips like in CW
He did a great job
I get unreasonably happy whenever I SEE him
Such a wholesome down to earth guy
Makes my heart feel crazy
I watched this episode without my pants on because of him
Will you train me?
No.
Do you know how to make lightsabers?
Yes.
Will you teach me?
No.
Ughhhh I want more ani
CLONE BOYS
About that Clone Flashback, interesting that they hid the wounded ones faces and didnt use Tem's
A little disappointing to be sure
"He doesn't look like the 50,000 CGI clones from the show!"
live action lil ahsoka sabers 😮
Honestly that Young Ahsoka did a phenomenal job
Wasn't she Young Gamora from Infinity War?
Didn't look like it, but Im too tired to analyze them rn lol
yes
You may be right. She does look similar
Ill just let the RPF peeps take better screenshots
She'll also be Tiny Tina in the borderlands film
Borderlands film? 👀
Now I need a perfect proffie anakin blade style
Can't wait for JuanSith, Kyberphonic and KSith to all do their own fonts of this Anakin so I can buy them
The real question is Huyang soundfont when
He better be
The Anakin choreography was so good
this is white blade??
Blue
I just think it felt really good seeing Hayden in CW armor. Glad I got that Hot Toys CW version of him
Mojave, who currently makes the most accurate Anakin font
is that the one with the cape
am I tripping balls or is this an animated man
Hayden was perfection
Is that not the RotS outfit? Or are you talking about the backstory
i was wondering that thing, avs
Dude I thought the same thing when I first saw it
IMO, JuanSith makes the best CW font, KSith makes the best ROTS one
Y'all seen that clip of that woman on the airplane where she's like "THAT MAN IS NOT REAL"?
That's me right now
Yes
In the CW flashback with Phase II Clones, with young Ahsoka and CW Armor Ani
Ah
Thanks. Does this new one sound different?
Leia is still a Senator, so Bloodlines hasn't happened yet, so I'm betting she recruits Kazuda Xiono just to spite his dad lmao
Oh boy am I in love with a man
Yeah, kind of. That's why Im betting fontmakers will make a new version
Also more Twi'leks in live action that aren't in Bikinis!
Boring ngl
!!!
Pervs out there still simping for Mary Elizabeth Hera though
Why her of all people
Who u callin perv
Not in a rude way*
That was still Tem's voice for the clones, yeah?
yes
Yeah. Wish they couldve used his face for the wounded unmasked clones though
This flashback is gonna make me loose my minf
Still have mine and it still works
Anakin Skywalker Lightsaber with Colour Changing Blade Star Wars Weapon
Hopefully he shows up later on too

Oh wait there has to be more Anakin or CW flashbacks because of the trailer with Hayden narrating yeah?
Unless that wasn’t from the show and he did that just for the trailer
Lol did you just click on SWT's stream too?
No why
He just said that
He's also mad that apparently his "script got leaked" and Disney used it
Yeah idk whether that's true or not
Interesting I’m tuning in
But I think we will get more Hayden at the end
I hope we get Hayden each episode from now
Hayden deserves the world
And this check baby
Sell me one of ur skinny flex’s😅😅
Dude rewatching and the deaging is like really good
I'm glad he gets to do a bit of redemption.
Like holy shit
Him and Ahmed.
They never did a bad job, people were the problem
Dave really said no Rey isn’t, ahsoka is
Does anyone have any idea for the color code for Anakin’s saber here
0, 140, 255 is what I’m thinking?
Maybe redemption isn't the right word. I know it's not their fault. I blame George some for not great writing or directing. And yes, people suck.
But it gives them a chance to come back and do some really great stuff that people like. Which is better than how their story would have ended otherwise.
Was it just me or did Hayden sound younger for the Siege of Mandalore scenes like his RoTS voice?
Justice.
Hayden, Jake, and Ahmed did the jobs they were hired to do, don't put the blame on them
Either his voice was de aged too or he's just doing a really good job of replicating the same way he talked in ROTS
Strange that all the other scenes he looked and sounded older even with the de-aging
But those scenes it looked like he was ripped straight out of RoTS
Even with his Vader speak as Anakin
Herb, did you ever end up getting that CW HT Ani or nah? That one is gonna sell like cake now
Nah
It'd either be that or the Kenobi Vader
It's a friggin tough choice now with Hayden nailing every scene since his return
I also love Carson
He mentioned Leia. Maybe she'll show up?
Good ep. very enjoy
@tranquil elm TXQ’s Anakin uses a 7/8” blade, right
I think it was him. When the Siege of Mandalore scene shows up, he says "I don't know this battle"
Yeah]
Did you read my other comment about it?
All CGI?
They did it with Luke so why not
I didn’t know Ahsoka had Psychometry
They've done it with Leia before too.
Are all pixel blades 3mm thick
Yeah in R1 and in Mando S2 it was kinda bad too with Luke, but in BoBF they def improved it
Not the right place for this.

When was Luke in RO
Im referring to his comment about CGI Leia
Oh
I wouldn't mind if they just cast a new actress..
They did, and then CGI'd over her
You mean in TRoS? Wasn't that her daughter?

Same
Those CW Ahsoka sabers in the flashback tho. What the hell
First time we see it in live action and they just went to Wal-Mart and picked up a pair of blade builders
not sure if I'm just turbo andor pilled
but that episode was hysterically mid lol especially compared to the previous one
What an
It's just nostalgia
Opinion
Alot of nostalgia and fan service
#1093876430301044746 message
But I think they did right
Am I the only slightly confused about what exactly Anakin was trying to teach
Yeah I think if you weren't really invested in the characters riding off of CW it wasn't as impactful
To choose to fight and live
Yeah but I don’t really like
Get it
So Mojave, did the Graflex appear to change? @tranquil elm
It's a Skinnyflex, but it looks identical to the one used in ROTS
So no changes that are noticeable rn
Oh it’s actually a Skinnyflex?
Yeah
Im just saying it's a Skinnyflex, referring to the hilt used in Ep3
Oh
But yeah, 89 named theirs the Skinnyflex but idk what they used
Gotcha
saw a mention of these. just throwing this in here in case ppl want to see them
Except she friggin chucked Vader's saber
Oh man the Anakin Build Group is lit tonight
I think the lesson was don't fight the Dark path, live with it and go alongside it.
Skyguys skyrocketing
True but why would he turn into Vader? It could still be her subconscious, I do hope it’s him
"I will not fight you."
"I've heard that before."
Unless he is the mortis father
That’s really nice
"Anakin is Mortis God now"
Me:
I didn’t notice that
If he’s the father it would make sense why he’s flashing between light and dark
And why at the end of their fight his eyes were red and he took a moment and came back
Wait, is that why hes using Vader's saber????
OMG WE DID IT REDDIT
(it's actually the Skinnyflex with a red blade but don't tell the theorists that)
No
No im just memeing
Tho, Anakin with a red saber
My Aniflex with the Kyberphonic Red Anakin font is officially accurate then
Except it has to be a different soundfont now
"Vader in German means Father, his name is literally Darth Father" - Anna Kendrick in Pitch Perfect
That's not planned
Ummm
Pretty sure Vader just comes from the word Invader
Dark Invader = Darth Vader
So glad we got that CW flashback. Was hoping for that in Kenobi but was left dissapointed
Anakin wasn't a Padawan anymore during the Clone Wars so he shouldn't be having a dueling lesson then
He was still Obi-Wan's Apprentice though wasn't he?
With a T. But Im just saying George just decided to play around with "Dark Invader" and came up with Darth Vader
it was a movie quote....but it is taken from this originally. weve known that for 46 years
Pretty sure he didn't think about Vader being Luke's father when he wrote Ep 4
there were Germans saying this in the late 70's
?!?!?!
Kenobi knows it in Ep 4
No.
It's never mentioned until ESB
Originally, Luke's father was meant to be someone else different than Vader, and Vader was supposed to be Obi-Wan's other apprentice. It wasn't until afterwards when he tried to write that into Vader actually being Anakin
Thus, we get ESB
Lucas has said Vader was meant to be Luke's father when he was writing new hope. But I'm also sure vader is just invader.
Really? I thought he said that but only after filming had wrapped up
That's when he decided that
Tbf who knows with Lucas.
I said Anakin looked off in Episode 4
Not a problem at all in this one
He looked absolutely fantastic
I think it was just the lighting that perhaps made him look bad in Ep 4
Ahsokas eyes also changed.
Sooooo awesome seeing Anakin be....Anakin again!
Is that young Ahsoka's actress?
Yeah
Yes
Oh awesome!

Blue Ahsoka sabers still superior
Seeing Anakin with a red lightsaber was hype lol
Should have morphed into this saber for the callback lol
Hayden probably isn't used to the ROTS Vader hilt
Sticking with what he knows
That hilt looks nothing like the ROTS Vader tho lmao
This is accurate then
ROTS Vader hilt will forever remain in the BTS
Very awesome 😮
Ngl seeing the switch from Ani to Vader in certain times was chilling
The Vader voice synth layered over Hayden's voice
They did something similar in Kenobi, where they combined Hayden's and James' voices. I thought that was cool
Eagle. Purgill
Same thing
Oh yeah, that made sense with Vader
But this is Anakin without the Vader suit with the voice synth
It's a different kind of chilling
"Why didn't the eagles take the ring and Frodo to Mordor?"
"Why didn't the Purgills take Ahsoka to- oh wait"
I'm just glad that the rumors about this moment were wrong
Like real glad lol
Guys what if Ahsoka got pushed into another dimension different from her original one
And so she actually died in the original dimension
Which leads to the sequels
Star Wars' What If?
Please no, no SW Multiverse
Loved the Senator Organa mention 😭
Cats saw the lightsabers and wanted to replicate
Bail is a little busy
Being dead lol
But I wouldn't blame you. We've had him appear so often now that I sometimes forget he dies in ANH
What font?
GG @bold narwhal, you just advanced to level 26!
Somehow Bail has returned
Kyberphonic's Ani3 I think it's called
Now i wonder if Ahsoka will appear in the New Jedi Order movie lol
Did Anakin's saber sound different this time around?
It definitely had some crazy sexy growl to it when it was red
It had both heroic and sinister vibes depending on the scene
JuanSith sound font this week probably
They used Luke's Ep6 ignition for the Sequels Graflex ignition so Im not surprised
It do be a good ignition sound
My body is ready
The cleanest
It's embedded in my brain at this point
Didn’t they give that to the graflex in episode 5 also? In the special edition version
Btw tim is killing it on my graflex chassis, it’s WIP but gahdamn
Cause it's intense as hell
For what scene? Pretty it just uses the regular Graflex ignition sound
Great shots
Can't wait for the Anakin's lightsaber from Ahsoka prop to be shown off
My only complain about the episode (but it didn't stop me from enjoying it)........Ahsoka using the wrong lightsaber style in the flashbacks
It was changed in the 2004 DVD edition
Unrelated but my friend is saying Hayden was de-aged in Kenobi
so... this was Ryloth right
Hmmm you're right, Im also watching it on DVD rn and it's the same sound
he was. he had tracking dots and minor work.
I think so
He was but not as well as this
At first I thought it was Teth
He still looked 40
But there are Twi'leks so it's Ryloth
I also noted Ahsoka doesn't wear "that outfit"
I wish Luke appeared too
Poor Luke is working his butt off trying to restart the Jedi Order and is missing all this
But no seriously can I have a BoBF season 2 so that they can focus 1 episode on Luke again and have him just talk to Anakin in live action?
no
Shame that Vader being Leia's father was so controversial that it basically costed her her position
we get the Cobb Vanth show
BoCV
So mad I didn’t pay the 300 to meet Hayden
Was so surreal seeing Hayden in the Clone Wars gear
Yeah, suddenly I really really like this
I think that’s vaders saber yall
Seriously who allowed this
i gotta learn that
Yeah I really like it
this guy is definitely from the files made for TCW
thin waist, brushed details on the armor
although the gauntlet is shinier
I like how the helmet is based on Maul
you haven't seen a mauldalorian before?
I have sorry! Its just really cool seeing in live action lol
like seeing Maul in Solo
what
lady has an issue on a plane and says she's leaving because "that man is not real"
like how that mando isn't real
pretty sure she just made a fool of herself and then tried to make her foolishness seem like a mental breakdown
it's not the vintage bunny ears
Hell yeah bro
https://puu.sh/JPWVn/f0696f0920.png her saber is looking a bit darker here.
This maybe like dark ahsoka
oh my god it's Mortis Ahsoka
Oh it's the graflex
Indeed
I don't think Anakin is still dark, I think he did it to drive the point home
/retraumatize her🙄🙄
Show her that she can overcome it, like Luke, like Anakin.
And continue living
be more than the lil soldier shes been
Ah yes the Dark Anakin saber as seen in Ahsoka lol
I really dug the shot of the x wings skimming the water
We’re getting good ship stuffs lately
Gandalf?!
I loved the costume change to white
The symbolism was perfect
that was my favorite part.
of all of it
It does look awesome. Her first costume was rad too. I thought Anakins looked a little, eh
It was one of the best star wars to date
Not his cw look. That looked amazing
if not the best
the armor looks a bit big too
This fight reminded me of Cal vs Jaro Tapal in his similar experience in some force dimension in his mind
This episode reminded me of Fallen Order again when Ahsoka heard a force echo from the broken map
I thought the same thing
I think the Ahsoka literally being Gandalf now is a bit.....much.
But its whatever honestly lol
IDK
I don't think they were ever in the Ryloth Campaign
I thought it was Teth
I will have to rewatch the episode again soon cause while I did love it, the lesson that Ahsoka was supposed to learn seemed really unclear to me
Hmmm I guess I do understand now. Approach was a bit fuzzy though imo lol
what's your thoughts on it
On the lesson or the whole episode? 😮
the lesson, out of curiosity
I thought I got it, but I've seen so many people confused that I'm not sure I got it after all
lol
Hmm.....I feel that it's a bit redundant. And more like Filoni just REALLY wanted to put those two in a fight together. Which is totally fine cause I'd do the same thing lol.
But in terms of the lesson. It seems like it's a mix of violence was never the answer and that Ahsoka needed to trauma dump by fighting her master. Which she never had an issue with before until now, and even seemed to take offense to how Anakin trained her. As if he purposefully let her to war and was joking around about it.
Which doesn't really match how she was before in both CW and Rebels. While I agree it's been time since then and Ahsoka has grown up more, it just felt like a lesson she already learned before and had no issue with until this series
Which all culminates into the Gandalf change. But in LOTR, Gandalf became the White for many reasons, especially because his task wasn't done. Here, Ahsoka being the White in the Star Wars sense by learning something new
I don't know, I just think that while the whole episode was absolutely stellar, the point that Ahsoka needed to learn was kind of like, well, yeah its not like the Jedi wanted to make her a child soldier lol.
But I'm also bad at interpretation. So I could be way wrong and the oddball xD
The Lesson was to keep pushing through all odds from what I could tell.
Just cause you hit a stump or setback (i.e, Baylan defeating Ahsoka) doesn't mean its over or you're less than as a character.
TLDR; Shit happens, but just cause it does doesn't mean you need to give up and throw yourself into a loop of despair
atleast how I interpret it
Hence why she comes back as Gandalf the white lol
kinda similar to what happened in that LoTR storyline
yeah, push through/overcome, as well as; just because you were raised a soldier, doesn't mean that's what you always will be, you're also Anakin, Obi Wan, Qui Gon, etc
Also I really wish they had positioned Ahsoka's sabers right lol
"We are what we grow beyond"
She had them facing forward
Instead or backwards
But that's a trivial matter lol. Just wished it matched her CW stance more.
this pretty much
Except didn't Gandalf come back because not only did he sacrifice himself, but also because their God/or the elves in the movie, told him that his job wasn't finished yet? So it was basically a superpower add on to help the Hobbits and people out
I thought he was gonna teach ahsoka how to become one with the force like Qui did obi lol
But Ahsoka isn't dead yet lol. Or dying
Then again I guess Obi wasn't dying then either
I mean its similar, cause Ahsoka lost to Baylan. Maybe she died as she fell down but she was rescued by the force vision?!?!??
IDK
it feels super convoluted
Plus I think she has quite a bit of time left
it's similar to the Gandalf thing, but I think it's more of a
throw off the dust, become a pure form of what you're meant to be
Either way I will say I will absolutely take this lesson over the rumor about what was going to happen when she was in the World Between Worlds
Cause man I was not gonna be happy if that rumor came true xD
Oh yeah my last dumb opinion is that Ahsoka really liked crossing her arms in this episode xD
CGI and the end of Ep. 4 was kinda eh but this episode was great
I don’t think I ever really looked at his face and actively noticed it
maybe during clone wars flashback but mainly bc of the haircut
It was soooo great hearing Temuera Morrison again
Is it really a flashback if she's conscious she's there?
So Anakin anakin’d huh
"It's Skywalk time"
Dude those Anakin scenes were so satisfying.
Love how we got Clone Wars Anakin out of Hayden instead of prequel trilogy Anakin
Soooo good
Instead? I’m pretty sure we got both. The Anakin that appeared first is his Episode 3 appearance, right?
I mean personality wise
Oh!
Yeah I like how he did a really good job portraying the clone wars version. The way he talked to Ahsoka despite never having that moment before while acting was so great
Also. What do you all mean by Ahsoka is Gandalf. Who is that?
Ah okay.
Gandalf fell into a pit, fought a demon, returned to the land of the living and was no longer grey, but white
but that was because his role in the world had changed.
Bruh drop what you’re doing and go watch LOTR
I thought only Luke knew that
Others find out eventually. I think the book Bloodlines covers it
It just goes to show that they can 100% do the sort of choreography we see from the PT but they just don’t
It becomes such a huge scandal for Leia
idk Hayden definitely has choreography experience that the other actors and actresses do not
A lot of people post the PT don't have excessive lightsaber training in universe
So it kinda makes sense
I think I tried when I was younger. I’m not into high fantasy like that. I think Star Wars gets a pass because it’s space
And because it’s less classic fantasy
They can. But there aren’t many masters who actively use that style who are still teaching that we know of.
It wouldn’t make sense to have people just start anakining their sabers mid battle out of nowhere.
no I thought it was intentional, cause Vader is the dutch word for father
and the german pronunciation is closer, but spelt incorrectly.
sure, but vader is literally the dutch word, so the dutch word with german pronounciation
but all the Sith names are some sort of terrible thing, and honestly Lucas probably wasn't aiming for a pun.
or he was, I thought I once heard/read about the vader/father thing being true
I do not remember where
Lucas said the name “sort of appeared in my head one day. I had lots of Darth this and Darth that, and Dark Lord of the Sith. The early name was actually Dark Water. Then I added lots of last names, Vaders and Wilsons and Smiths, and I just came up with the combination of Darth and Vader."

alright then
either way, loved this episode
only gripe being that she's not backhanding her sabers in the flashbacks
Honestly, who knows with Lucas, but I also doubt he thought of the invader/vader/father pun lol
He also went to school with a guy called Gary Vader
yooo correct me if Im wrong. This is the first time they showed Red Saber Vader without a suit right?
Full powered Darth Vader
they even switch to his sith ignition
I'm still pretty sure it was Anakin, but yeah
naww its "Vader" because of the sith face
There's the whole "Sith can't appear after death" mumbojumbo tho
but it is Anakin
So who knows
I swear Star Wars is one of the only things that gets more confusing the more you know
I think that's why alot of the casual fans don't like getting into the EU stuff or Shows, and just stick with the movies
also people just don't read anymore
and comic continuities are hard to get into
Palpatine reappeared after his death
Against our wishes 🤣
not as a ghost
I thought his ghost is what orchestrated all that
I see. Well Anakin wasn’t a force ghost in this episode. They were in some force dimension
That certainly wasn’t “Vader” though. Anakin was just changing his appearance to teach Ahsoka her final lesson
He was still Anakin and good the whole time
I wonder if the WBW has something to do with force ghosts..
You try having tabards stay in place after doing a bunch of lightsaber moves
Seemed more like a reflection of Ashoka’s feelings more than an intentional ghostly magical change by anakin
Could be a bit of both. At first she kept seeing him as Vader and he caught on. Then made her face that part of him
What you see in the World Between Worlds is what you bring with you
yeah that was my interpretation
That's the description by the writers of Rebels https://youtu.be/f_FPwCBzDNs
The Ahsoka series is about to take us into the World Between Worlds, one of my absolute favorite mystical locations in Star Wars. If you want to get a little bit of an introduction before seeing episode five, I've got you covered!
This video was created during the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Without the labor of the writers and actors curre...
tl;dr no one knows what it was
its Anakin but channeling his sith powers so I see it as Sith side of him
I love Hayden
That little kid did really good in that saber fight
Could be maybe a short stunt double
Oh who is it?
Ariana Greenblatt, she was also young Gamora
apparently she's 16?? looks way younger
Oh wow!
Highschoolers look like actual babies now it’s crazy
Honestly everyone is looking younger these days
Yeah she looks 12. I think that’s what Hollywood likes though. The guy who plays Peter Parker has looked 15 for 10 years
Getting 80 yr olds looking like how 50yr olds used to look 20+ years ago
Oh, she was also the kid in 65. I kind of enjoyed that film
She was in Barbie
@tranquil elm If you can tell, are the Anakin saber sounds from this episode new, or are they the ones from RotS or TCW?
