Hey Guys,

after playing the first time with a lot of gold, it seems like Travian is a completely different game with a different dynamic.

How successful can you be without gold in Travian?
What are the key-elements in such a strategy?

  • sell good items early and convert to gold
  • if you can buy a little gold, you get the best use out of it in the first 2-4 weeks (snowball)
  • plan the account with care (150 7c is a good idea)
  • you're not going to break records or be a top account but you can be a solid contributor
  • have a strong alliance and a clearly defined role/goals and know how to get there without high spending
