Compensation: $100k–$140k USD annually (or local equivalent, based on location & experience)

What you’ll do
- Design and implement backend services and APIs with a focus on reliability, performance, and security.
- Build on AWS (e.g., EC2/ECS/EKS/Lambda, API Gateway, RDS/Aurora, S3, CloudWatch, IAM).
- Model data and write high-quality SQL; optimize queries and schema for scale.
- Ship production features in Node.js (TypeScript preferred) and collaborate across frontend, product, and DevOps.
- Implement automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and cost-aware architectures.
- Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and technical roadmaps.
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years of backend engineering with production systems at scale.
- Strong hands-on AWS expertise and cloud-native design patterns.
- Proficiency in Node.js and SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
- Solid grasp of distributed systems, API design (REST/GraphQL), caching (e.g., Redis), and messaging (e.g., SQS/Kafka).
- Experience with containers and IaC (Docker, Terraform).
- Excellent communication and a product mindset.
Bonus: Experience with C# or Rust.
