Would be nice for Pokemon fans to connect over different subjects whilst bonding closer!
Also I’m sure a lot of people watch sports, so having a specific channel rather than flooding gen/posts would be useful and easier to monitor.
And whilst sports is a very sensitive topic between rival teams I think a little contest is fine as long as it’s not extreme/hateful
To add on this could specifically be in the socials tab! Since it is pretty similar haha
People can post photos of their teams merch, self made stuff and also have polls/giveaways for matches and the sort!

This exact thing was brought up before and the answer will be the same...A lot of people do this sort of thing in #general_chat as is. We're not going to make a sports channel when there's a general channel that can be used as such. I've also seen people talk sports occasionally in #shiny_hunters too when they're taking a break from shiny hunting - so we're not going to make a new channel only for it to become a dead zone anyway cause people talk the same thing in a different channels with their friends or people with the same interests.
