So you never really accepted nor turned it down, which could be considered fishing for a bid. Please do not fish for bids and always make it very clear whether your auction has a buyout option or not.

It's fine. You are free to pick any bids you want, and you can also turn down any bids. Just make it very clear if a user offers a buyout, you either have to say "Yes" or "No"
