Route I made for farming mega shards.

Legend:

Fast-travel to purple circle #1 (Quasartico Inc.), go straight from the front door of the corporation and take a right into the alleyway. Use a flying Pokemon like Pidgeot for shards stuck to walls. Every last node counts. You will want at least two pink Canari plushes (there are many guides on obtaining colorful screws) or this grind will not be worth it.

Purple circles are for places you will fast travel to. Their names are written down. Yellow squares are ladder, scaffolding, or holo-elevator locations. In other words, where you access the rooftops. Once you're up, and have a vantage point, navigating is usually quite simple.

Do numbers 1 through 13 in the exact order they are written. Not every major node is put down but all of the best (and most accessible ones are). Simply follow the dark purple-red arrowed line after you fast travel to a violet circle.

#3 is in a Wild Zone. If you go left there will be an easily accessible ladder near a Sableye that leads to the node location. An extra #14 node is if you take a right after the outdoor gym instead of left. There is a similar ladder with an obvious and nearby rooftop. It's just a matter of finding the ladder (it's tucked in a corner down the right alleyway under scaffolding). 3 location is the only fast travel in a Wild Zone.

Travel from 4 straight to 5 without fast traveling.

Fast travel after 7, 8, and 9 as a starting point to access all three.

11, 12, and 13 are in obvious spots (exactly where the number is written).

Pro tips:

  1. Use your mega evolutions while farming but keep them tucked in poke balls when not crushing shards. It will make crushing go much faster.

  2. Wait about 10 minutes between doing the route after completing #13 by completing other activities, but do not open the map (or the menu) or the shards will not respawn. It counts as pausing the game.

  3. Bring a Pokemon with big area of affect abilities if you want the fastest crushing and something that can fly for nodes 1 and 5. I recommend something like Emboar for the ground and Pidgeot for shards clinging to walls. Gyarados has both but needs to be higher level to access good abilities for this.

  4. One round will fill your bag almost exactly so make sure to go back to the corporation and turn your shards in because they will cap at c999 right as you finish the route. You might be a little short by 50 or so if you skip smaller nodes and go too fast. This isn't a big deal. Never collect while capped. Always port to the building and the resume the route if you cap mid-route. Simply turn the shards into candy or stones.

  5. This is the best and only way to assure the Pokemon in your roster are at the same level and don't have power imbalances where you have some Poke's ten times stronger than others.

  6. This guide is best for newer players who've just unlocked Canari plushes.

  7. I say the route will barely fill your bag but I've hit x999 barely a third into the route so it's very based on how rich your spawns are. Check your bag every couple of minutes.

  8. Collect lots of colorful screws and you'll find new nodes on top of the ones listed here. This is a good route but you can always use more grinding/farming spots if you're really crazy about getting massive amounts of shards without taking breaks for them to respawn.
