I thought maybe this could be a nice thing. As i’ve hosted this event on servers where I’m a mod or admin.
Find a friend. Most people play games like these alone and sometimes only say something once or twice.
However with an event like this we could potentially find someone to play together or frequently share their good and bad news with.
You can compare it to like finding a valentine without any romance being involved

I mean people can go into the chats for the relevant games and start up conversations? There's nothing stopping people finding friends
I don't see an event (that would make extra work for the staff) necessary to finding people playing pokemon on a pokemon server

Theres not really a need for an event like this when the whole point of this server is exactly that. We built the community so people can chat, trade, create vcs, connect with people from all over the world, etc. We don't need an event for people to do that on their own terms here. Some people prefer lurking in channels and others prefer talking about games other than pokemon in general chat

Fair enough. It was just an idea for a social event
