We never had a LGPE trading channel, even when it came out. We suggest using #1112832566261731328 or #trading_pokemon_home if you want to conduct trades for LGPE, it’s not active enough to warrant it’s own channel.

While I understand the potential need for one with the new mythical distributions, my above point still stands - feel free to open a trading post for LGPE purposes but a seperate channel won't have enouh activity to warrant it's existence.

I disagree on one basis: you never had one. How can you tell it wouldn't be successful until you make one and no one uses it? That's just baseless theorizing imo.

I, for one, second the concept of an LGPE trading channel! If it doesn't work out, delete it.

That would add work and clutter to the server. The reason we did not have an LGPE channel is the fact the we started as a SWSH server.

There is no baseless theorizing here as everything ili has said comes from data in the server.

Sorry if that came off as offensive. I was only attempting to offer some constructive criticism.

I just think, unless and LGPE server is added and no one uses it, there's no "true" way to know whether or not it'd fail or succeed.

I'm not really sure what bearing this originally being a SwSh server has on this point. I mean, no one will discuss LGPE in another channel because that'd be considered "off-topic". Unless you give them a dedicated space (Which you both said there's never been one) there's no true data. Unless there was an experiment I'm not aware of.

I'm not really sure what work or clutter that would add. Unless you mean the Mod team having to keep an eye on yet another channel. As for clutter, the list of channels is not only already incredibly long, but customizable as to what you choose to see or not see. What's another string of text in the list of channels?

BDSP are the universally most disliked releases on the Switch, yet they not only have a channel, but it's active almost daily!! What makes you think no one would use an LGPE channel?

I'm not saying it's necessary, I'm just giving you a perspective. While I respect the decisions of those who run the server, I humbly disagree on this one.

P.S. If the concept of an LGPE channel ever comes up in conversation at the table, add 1 more in favor of such an experiment. 🙋‍♂️ Personally, I see nothing to lose.

Because LGPE came out before SWSH and this server started as one to cater to SWSH. There is no point in making a new channel for a game that is basically dead at this point especially when two channels i.e. #1112832566261731328 and #trading_pokemon_home serves the same purpose for what the trade is for (which is to complete the POKEMON HOME DEX)

just as a counter point to the clutter counter point, the fact that you say that the trading channel list is already long enough already justifies the fact they don't want to add yet another trading channel for them to moderate, for a relatively dead game(at that time) at that. Furthermore, "customizable as to what you choose to see or not see" only applies to people who either want or not want to use it, it adds one more channel for mods to moderate, so they can't just remove it from their channel list since that would deem it not being moderated or checked on every now and then either.

The "trading talk" is only for advertising the FT and LF of a trade, discussions about the details of the trades (TID, OT, additional pokemon/items) are done through dms. Or can be done if you made a forum in #1112832566261731328
