You can still use the tcgp discussion for those! We renamed our old tcg discussion channel as people weren't much using it for the physical cards anymore as much as the game

While we renamed it for pocket, it can still be used for the physical tcg game as well. You're also free to use #other_pokemon_games - unfortunately, just not a lot of people were using the tcg channel for the regular tcg

Yeah the new game is cool and all, but irl pulls are cooler than getting on some new app and swiping
