Like the title says having tournaments could be very fun, each tournament could have different rules, restrictions or formats and can be done in SV and Showdown for easy access.

Fights would use dates/times agreed by the 2 players facing each other or be set by mods. This would be a fun way as apart from the competitive disscussion area and battle stadium (which is dead most time but recently is picking up traction) there isn’t much for competitive players to do and fights do really bring people together.

We've ran tournaments in the past, and logistically they're a nightmare. As I'm sure any <@&727593710816067594> could attest to, running a tournament for a server this size isn't as easy as just getting 2 people together. It's organising hundreds, managing brackets, match reporting, making sure timezones work. And generally is a huge headache. I'd happily run one if we had people to manage it, but we're busy moderating the server as is

It’s still a time commitment but a lot of the logistics are now automated

As I said, i'm happy to organise one if we get the people to manage it, but it'd be entirely upto community volunteers. The draft server is a lot easier for us

I wouldn’t mind helping out for one. I’m actually already approved as a TO on limitless so I can change the name of my org to be this server’s and set it all up if we’re interested @pine barn @empty knot @opal ingot

Obviously it should fall on a weekend that a major isn’t happening. Thankfully there’s only 3 majors in the next 2 months so that gives a lot of potential weekends
