Pokémon Home Added as Eligible for Middleman Trades

As a place ripe for abuse due to not being able to see the Pokémon’s details that you’re trading, I would love to see the middleman trades include Home trades when the queue is open. Seems like a great benefit/protection for trades originating on the server.

Due to the limited number of trades a day, and the lack of some info of Pokemon in Home, it would be hard to make this possible for our Middlemen to assist in safe trading - the reason we have not made this available thus far.

Could perhaps limit trades to home stamped if there’s concern of legitimacy? As far as limited number of trades, sure. But I personally wouldn’t have a concern if a trade would just have to wait for the next time they have trades available. Queue isn’t always available already, doesn’t seem a far cry from status quo. Just a thought.

I don’t think it would really help, many details are hidden in HOME so these rip offs would still happen, and locking it to just HOME stamped trades would be pointless as those mons are from my understanding quite hard to generate

You can’t verify if something is home stamped in the trade screen, only after. This is the most common scam/bait and switch with home trades, and would be completely eliminated by a middleman trade.

True but remember the 10 trade limit and middleman also having trades of their own

It would probably be unavailable 90% of the time

If you need a HOME middleman you can always get someone you trust to do it

Yes, and goes back to my point on just having to wait until trades reset, or just not being available for a while like it already is today. Not much changes from status quo, other than some significant trade scams are prevented.

Realistically this would only prevent 1 or 2 scams a month

And I don’t think it’s worth adding all of this

High value trades should be done with trustworthy members of community

Most scams come from alts, new accounts, little kids, etc

“All of this”? Seems like a relatively minor addition to an already existing service.

Yes, members should always follow the scam prevention tips. Not a valid argument against this suggested addition, or else the middleman queue would have no reason to exist.

Also, just checked reports for the fun of it. At least 3 reports of this exact scam in the last 10 days.

Might seem minor but remember this is like a 100K people server, doing changes to a discord server this big from my understanding I don’t think it’s that easy to do any changes

Also I recommend doing high value trades with trusted memeber
