There is a role to get notified of giveaways already, it's used for normal giveaways when there's a lot of them, you could so turn notifs on for the giveaway channel if you want to be made aware of all of them.

#reaction_roles is where you can pick up the role, and as lacius said we only ping when there’s several active giveaways going on, so you’ll still have to check from time to time when it’s only a couple active giveaways going on
