I think with how rarely both the queues are open anyone waiting to use the service should have the choice to get pinged when it does open. I think this could be done through a ping called Hackcheck Queue and Middleman Queue. You could get pinged by it if you reacted to something in reaction roles like the giveaway ping.

Ah well bot broke but there's a similar thread before, concern was mass influx for a single middleman if a ping draws in tons of people at a single time

That I could see, but I just don’t see a reason for there not being a ping for Hackcheck

Especially since the last time it was open it was only open for 6ish hours I believe

It closes when there's too many for the available hc members to check, if there's a ping every time it opens then it's only gonna be open for 5 mins at a time. Unfortunately, it is real people that check the queue so it's availability is dependant on lives/schooling/jobs etc.

Btw you can turn on personal notifs for the #mmqold channel, iirc you would get a ping when they post the message saying it's open, I think

Oh, you meant the notification overrides. Discord says their golden rule of "if the server is large, you only get pinged for mentions" applies to them still.
