#Terminology for tr1?

If possible maybe adding an automated message for TR1 about terminology used in chat, similar to the terminology message used in #trading_sv

For example:
RR: raid ready
HH: helping hands
DD: double dip (enter raid more than once)
T1: Turn one

It would probably be a small message but I think it would be useful for newcomers, as I've seen many messages asking what dd means especially

#

Actually I'm going to backtrack on that, I just saw that we can use -raid rehost. So maybe instead of an automated message a command like -raid terminology?

yeah even with all the past suggestions about having a common terminology explanation pinned in the channel, i think throwing it into a command would be better since then it's not just a mildly useless pin for people who aren't likely to check pins in the first place

We're discussing this as a team, thanks for the suggestion! Please let us know here which other terms you've been considering that we clarify

Maybe SD for Swords Dance, just to clarify it doesn’t mean Self Destruct

Awesome! I can make the layout if needed as well. And yeah i didnt think of SD

Raid Terminology

  • RR: raid ready mon (#tera_strategy_discussion is best for questions)
  • HH: Helping Hands
  • DD: double dip (entering a raid more than once)
  • T1: Turn one
  • SD: Sword Dance
  • NP: nasty plot
  • BD: belly drum
  • OHKO: one hit knock out
#

I can update it if we come up with more terms lol

Let’s also mention that in Herba raids you need a LVL 95+ pokemon to raid in 6* with the proper set and in shiny raids you can bring whatever unless it is above 5*

#

It can sometimes be frustrating that people bring underlevelled pokemon and its best to let the new people know the right course of action during their time in #tera_raids

neat quartz
#

That’s already in the pinned messages lmao

It also isn't exactly terminology..

Perhaps a note about supports and hosts to be considerate, and to also add how Tera raids is also a place to talk as it builds community, this is kind of a message for newcomers

ac·ro·nym
noun
noun: acronym; plural noun: acronyms

  • an abbreviation formed from the initial letters of other words and pronounced as a word (e.g. ASCII, NASA ).

ter·mi·nol·o·gy
noun
noun: terminology; plural noun: terminologies

  • the body of terms used with a particular technical application in a subject of study, profession, etc.
#

your suggestions are more like helpful hints, tips, and reminders as opposed to more definitional terms

#

they would be nice to have, but this specific suggestion thread is primarily about compiling a dictionary of sorts to help newer people understand what people are talking about in the channel

Hey guys, don't forget: We are ONE community. We share raids. We help each other! And of course there are newbies who do not know the game and maybe try to join raids. Do not rage and don't be rude to those players. Give advice in this chat how they could play better but do not flame about younger players who just try to find some raids!
