We have 2 channels for breeding, but this would be an alternative where you would hire someone to catch a specific pokémon with a mark, specific ball, terra type or form variant, those things cant be obtained by breeding and most of them would not be as hard as breeding a shiny.

Some of the things that you can´t get just by breeding are:
-3 segment dudunsparce or family of 3 maushold
-Marks
-Be in a Masterball
-Have a different terra type
-Paradox Pokémon

Obviously there would be certain banned pokémon like shiny family of 3 moushold with a mark, but for most cases I don't see a problem that is not present already in breeding shinies.

With the more consistent hunting methods of this gen this would potentially be really good. I'll bring it up with the team

Some initial thoughts around this type of "hiring channel":

  1. if this is proposed to work like the breeding queues and project board, there will need to be helpers who vet the requests for legality, pin/lodge onto a board the accepted hires, and resolve issues as they come up.

If that pseudo-breeding process is not undertaken then it is essentially just another trading channel with users' posts and people can dm them.

  1. Based on the specific aspects you've raised, these seem to be provided for in the trading channels already:
    A) 3 segment/family - you can already ask for this in the trading channels - want it in a particular ball? You can ask for it in the trading channel. If you're not getting a bite, it's more likely that the offer/reward you're putting forward is not judged to be worth it. That wouldn't change by having a separate channel - there will be no "hire" if the offer isn't deemed worthwhile.
    B) Marks - if you want a particular marked pokemon you can ask for it in the trading channels - again if the offer is good enough you could also get someone to hunt it for you if they don't already have it. But if the offer is so-so, then no one is going to do it even with a separate channel.
    C) Be in a masterball - this is essentially a trade for a pokemon in a masterball, as masterball does not pass down through breeding - again if the offer is worth it, someone will dm you in the trading channels and will catch your desired pokemon in a masterball for you.
    D) change tera type - you can already ask in the trading channels for someone to change the tera type of your pokemon. Given the trust involved you would want to make sure you have appropriate collateral in case the trader was minded to run off with the pokemon. However that is a risk with any type of trust agreement with users over the internet anyway. The administration of monitoring these "hire" arrangements in a separate channel seems to have a high administrative burden although it could be that the server's MM team could help in some form.

  2. Without having some sort of helper involvement and administration, you increase the risk of miscommunication and people wasting their time in the channel. Either you have part payment up front and the hirer never getting what they want, or you have the hiree spending their time to get the thing and then the hirer ghosting/changing their mind later.

TL;DR - these needs can already be met through the trading channels, just being clear in the message what you're looking for and what you want to offer. Anything else is an administrative burden far outweighing the benefit of such a separate channel

I understand that it is not as easy as creating a new channel for everything, however there are a lot of breeding posts that can also be done by catching and the only difference would be the level, and if the breeding channel didn't exist, all of those commissions could be done just as easy in the trading chat. And as for the moderation, the Breeding channels are not that active so I would think that the same people could mod the proposed channel, and if it turns out it is too big for them I think it would mean that the channel is popular and was a welcome addition.

By opening those channels it created a "job" for those who like to breed, and a hunting channel would do the same thing for those who like to catch and battle, giving an extra incentive to EV train by battles, farming raids, shiny hunting in the wild, etc. because then you would get the rewards of those activities and the rewards of potential jobs posted in the channel.

As a last point I'd like to bring the Title Power sandwiches, a lot of people just see them as a side bonus or even just ignore it since all they want is the Encounter and Sparkling power, however if you accumulate multiple compatible jobs (lets say 3 just like the breeding channel) it would be way more cost effective to create those sandwiches and it wouldn´t take that long.
