I dont have or want shinies. I have been asking for and offering regular pokémon and their HA variants that are not shiny only for 90% of my DMs being people asking about shinies anyway.
Here is my latest screenshot. I can get more.
I was looking for great tusk and offering violet paradoxes with no mention of shiny in my message.
I've been a member of this server during gen 8 as well (left and came back) and I have never found trade chat to be so unuseable for anyone not looking for shinies.
I saw that this issue has been brought up in the past but that mods did not see its relevancy. I Hope I have made the issue much clearer than my predecessors.

@hoary jungle If you're looking for non shiny trades, surely #trading_sv_pokedex would work best

hey, I don't think that's true! Sure it might not be as big as people looking for shinies, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist, or even that is itsn't big!
I've probably traded with over 30 people in this server alone, who are looking for aprimon only. that doesn't sound like a lot, but considering I'm a single person, who's barely active in this server, in addition to it being very hard to trade for aprimon in this server spesifically,

AND, those are only the trades i've actually went through with and found helpful!!!

Plus, sword and shield isn't exactly as big as SV, but it still has and deserves a trading channel!!

I hope I'm not being rude or butting in where I'm not wanted, but I just have a different experiance, and I thought it might help to share it!!
