the auction house channel will act as a public auction similar to the one in porto marinada a pokemon and/or item will be up for bid and bidders can offer pokemon/items for it. when the bidding ends the best offer will win
the seller and the buyer will exchange the offered pokemon

When you auction something, it's instantly not classified as a giveaway anymore, as you are exchanging it for something else. Giveaways are things offered up for free; "giving away".

As I mentioned in my message in #giveaway_discussion, I've seen people putting things up in the trading channels for "highest offer wins", but it's all conducted in DMs usually
