It is a better way to reply to people’s reports faster; because they don’t get buried by the other reports as fast.

It would become impossible to ping people who haven’t joined the thread though

You could have a separate channel next to reports where you can ping them though

Or you could just change the reports channel into a ticket system

My take on this from a previous time this was asked remains the same:

A ticket system does both harm to moderators and those involved in the report. Having the public channel is more efficient because you don’t have to go anywhere to track anyone down, and can immediately address arising issues instead of going in and out of people’s DMs. We already have the option of anonymity if we prefer, and it helps everyone when multiple users can provide input on a situation on the rare occasion it is appropriate.

Maybe they could atleast have multiple report channels, so they could have them spread out a bit.

There could be 1, 2, and 3 and if someone sees a mod handling a report in one of the channels they can go to a different report channel
