if you intend to do this, kilo's tailwind isn't needed and a post trick room cleaner such as meowscarada should be added
does trick room really benefit dragonite and arcanine that much tho? i feel like tailwind is better for those specifically
or would it just make more sense to replace slyveon
the issue I saw was that arc and dnite benefit from speed(unless tera normal extreme killer dnite) while amoongus and slyveon benefit from and need trick room respectively
well that is the kind of dragonite im running
ye
to keep sylveon alive to hyper voice without trick room you might need to rage power, otherwise it dies
alternatively you could try to predict with tera fire
tera fire is good in gerneral to beat ghol
if i decided to keep tailwind and drop slyveon, who would be a good replacement?
lemme see
grimsnarl could be a good support to help ape, while ghol could, expecially with tailwind, do potent spred dmg
yea your team is pretty weak to gar
you could spore it, but that is unreliable if your attackers can be OHKOed
wisp from arc could neutralize it
but its not fast enough
ape MIGHT be able to take chomp, but i haven't played that matchup and I am not sure
well its faster assuming im not able to get tailwind up ofc. and arent most garchomps running tera water? kilowattrel would be able to deal with that i feel but it might be rare that it lives late games. not sure
true
ive seen more tera ground garchops trying to clean late game with raw force
but you should build for both matchups
with tailwind slyveon might be able to outspeed, but it will need speed investment
if i run grimmsnarl, amoongus, and wattrel, isnt that too much support?
yea
you don;t ahve to use all tho
i run 3 attackers, and 3 support-ish pokes
but i only use 1 support per game
you are right tho
you also have to prep for other problem
just realized syl covers hydra, gar, and ghol(if you tera fire tera blast it) and cannot be taken out
you could do something crazy with scarf, but investment+wind is safer
i assume id just drop quick attack for tera blast?
yea, dnite has great priority and yawn is very useful
one more thing
how do you ocunter don tatsu
im still kinda new so i dont know what generally counters that honestly. other than murkrow
arc's wisp could help, but you will have to kill it before it recovers its attack stat with order up
maybe ape
ammongus is your best tho
clear smog and spore
yeah i guess thats my check for it atm
you have a few weaker matchups, but the team is solid and doesn't break to anything
yeah it seems like garchomp is the hardest match up
even max speed slyveon with tailwind doesnt outspeed gar
there is that indeedee armarouge thing, but I don't know how to stop that either
wait gimme a sec
unless im just calculating it wrong
you sure?
chomp is 102 syl is 60
60*2 is 120
with both max speed, you beat pos nature chomp
with neutral
but scarf blows you out of the water
doubt scarf chomp can 1shot tho
btw what rank are you rn?
idk how many people are running scarf gar tho
im not any rank rn. i havent played cause i dont have a team built yet
experience is important
also, whats the reason people are running tera water on garchomp and ape? ik my ape is tera fire but idk why tera water is a thing
yeah i see a lot of it when i watch stuff
im as clueless as you
id think it woudl create a weakness, not a positive
maybe to stop dondozo, but its a small difference
yeah i guess fire and ground are the most common
also ghol
but yeah im gonna start playing soon. i just need to finish making the team
who can beat ghol?
all your attackers except ape lose to it
thats why fire tera syl is good
i play ghol and it fcks me up
last but not least a small tip
if don/tatsu comes up with another pokemon, be careful before attacking the other pokemon
if it switches to the other member of the pair, the tatsu becomes invul
targetting it makes a miss
ohhhhhh okay i get what youre saying
so always try to target the potential dondozo slot
yeah i understand what youre saying. thanks a lot man
