My idea for a standard first 2 turns which is all that may be needed to get this set up.

Turn 1, Cyclizar and Coalossal.

  • Coalossal Teras into Ground, this is still weak to water but 2x instead of 4x, gives him Tera boost on ground moves, and makes him better offensively/defensively.
  • Cyclizar uses Shed Tail to bring out Palafin with a substitute. Cyclizar heals itself due to its ability.
  • Coalossal uses Iron Defense for +2 Def

Turn 2, Palafin and Coalossal.

  • Palafin uses Flip Turn on Coalossal. This will do about 15-20% of its HP. Coalossal gains +6 Speed and +2 Atk and +2 SpAtk from its ability and weakness policy.
  • Palafin goes back to the party and brings out Flamigo.
  • Flamigo's Costar ability copies Coalossal's stats. It is now +6 Speed, +2 Atk/SpAtk/Def. Plus the Cyclizar substitute may still be up at this point.
  • Palafin transforms in the party to Hero Palafin.
  • Coalossal is now ready to use whatever move I selected, could go for another Iron Defense, could use Earthquake (Flamigo is immune), Rock Slide (still gets stab, hits both opponents, flinches, etc)
