#Gallade with sharpness or Gardevior?

VGC or singles
VGC is ranked im assuming? im pretty new
vgc is doubles
which is format of official pokemon competitions
you can play ranked battles in either singles or doubles
yeah i think its vgc then
well gardevoir is a bit more common than gallade in vgc, and moonblast can oneshot most non-tera garchomp if they don't iron head you first
gardevoir has access to trick room + imprison too
i was thinking perhaps having a pokemon on the side with great defensives that can learn a move that makes your opponents target it instead of the regular target
would that be a viable strategy or nah?
i also kinda wanna combo a hydregion w taunt and dragonite to earthquake, or perhaps give gardevior that ability that makes it so they dont get hit by things like earthquake from yourself
yeah telepathy gardevoir + earthquake garchomp is a common duo
earthquake on dragonite isnt particularly good unless you tera ground
i was talking about the hydregon having eq
hydreigon is a special attacker
so def not
but yeah indeedee + gardevoir could be a decent combo if you wanna set or deny trick room
gardevoir used to have expanding force, but not anymore which is a shame
also is luxray any good competitive
not really but you can make it work if you really like it
at the very least u can use it for utility with intimidate
it can snarl, thunder wave, fake tears. only problem is its slow and fragile
i see, well then my team consist of about gardevior, dragonite, breloom, gengar , hydregeoj and gallade perhaps
Sharpness gallade does have one thing over gardevoir in that it’s a great dozo counter
fighting tera gallade w/ sharpness & sacred sword is great to have if you ever encounter a dozo team, will 2 shot the dozo. Gallade can also learn Trick Room too
what about leaf blade+sharpness
