I finished the dex today, what's a good way to get herba mystica for shiny hunting? I did collect the shiny charm as well. Should I do the breeding method instead of hunting since I have the charm? I'm honestly new to pokemon and this was my first game since alpha sapphire when I was 13ish

imo hunting through sandwich + outbreak or sandwich + isolation is a lot faster than breeding. for herba mystica farming, unfortunately with how old the game is, we don't really have people hosting big herba mystica raids anymore. but what you would do is look for 5 star and 6 star raids with the following mons, as they have a lot higher drop chance of herba mystica

Ngl, as much as the sandwich stuff were great, I prefer Shinyhunting in Z-A and aswell in Arceus, because of the Shiny sound, it just hurts my eyes to squint for a small ass shiny your looking in SV, and probably you also managed to summon one but you didn't notice it, since the shiny sound doesn't exist, which you probably miss one.

Why dateskip?
You can dateskip in SV to reset or reroll a number of things, including raids and outbreaks.

How to skip

• Make sure you have the game open.
• Go to the Switch HOME screen. Navigate to the date/time menu.
• Then hit A to change date/time, and then click OK without changing anything. This will count as a dateskip and you can go back to the game.
• If this method doesn't work for you, you can change your time a minute forwards or backwards for the same result.

So... I'd just like to say this. SV has been going through seven star raids with all of the first partner Pokemon from gen one up to the current one. They've also done event raids with certain legendaries. Forgive me if this isn't allowed, but... I'd really like SV to do an Arceus raid/event at some point. My only hope is they don't make the mistake they did of giving away an Arceus code via limited edition cards. I wasn't able to get a Koraidon to go with my Miraidon because of that, sadly. I'd like to see an Arceus battle or a legit download I can get a high stats Arceus. No, I'm not interested in it being shiny. I was never into shiny collecting nor will I ever be. I just want a good, high IV Arceus. I have two already, but I'd like to improve on it.

Oh, I know that. I already did. But one time I tried transferring a level 100 Pokemon from LA to Violet. I had maxed out the stats of the mon in LA, but when I transferred it to Violet it's stats were lowered. Due to using rocks and stuff to maximize the IVs in LA I couldn't restore that with vitamins and bottlecaps. It was an ugly surprise.

I fear that if I transferred my LA Arceus to Violet it's stats would shrink to a bad level. For example, Arceus has a maximum attack IV of 372. If it only went down to 372 upon transfer I'd be okay with it because in the canon generations that's as high as it gets. But if it dropped all the way to 212, that would be a problem.

I could be wrong, though.

The issue is that I don't have a Pokemon in Violet that knows Simple Beam.

In Pokemon Violet, only Latios can learn that move via a normal way like level up. Every other Pokemon learns it via breeding, which requires for you to have a Pokemon that has it so it can teach it to the other one as well.

and you dont just transfer the psyduck right away .. you have to "check moves" and adjust to have simple beam before saving .. you dont save right away and it doesn't do it right away .. it warns you if a move isn't saved

I was playing the False Dragon Titan Quest in Violet, and something weird happened. I was able terastrallize against both Dondozo and Tatsugiri in the second battle (I didn't do so during round 1 with just Dondozo). Is this a bug, or is there some hidden mechanic in being able to terastrallize twice like this? I thought you could only do that once before needing to recharge at a Pokemon Centre?

It wasn't a distribution event. The shiny legendary bikes were in-person codes that were very limited in stock (mostly because they failed to properly give GameStop and others extra).

You could try the trade channels to see if anyone with extras are willing to trade, but keep in mind that due to the rarity of the mons, you're gonna have to offer something of more value

They do boost crits now, I think in gen 1 (and maybe 2 idr) it did ignore positive attack buffs, but that's long since been updated

that being said, if your guaranteed crit is strong enough to ohko the majority of mons you're fighting, its overkill to stat buff on top

As the strat says it solo ..the strat relies on npc deaths not eating the timer .. playing with others means adjustment are needed by either/both you and the team

We tested dondozo .. i know malamar was used and some pple here did use it but i didnt so wont speak beyond knowing it has some success .. you can google that or welcome to ask around here but its slow given games age and its a rerun

It would be next to impossible to tell a clone apart from a real one unless you know where it came from. The best you can do is consider how you got it and how easily you got and make an educated guess

Also you can't ride other Miraidons/Koraidons other than the one you begin the game with. Just having a hacked/cloned mon won't do anything to your game unless it's incredibly poorly hacked in with several illegal traits
