Hello everyone, DCH are happy to announce the opening of the shiny queue for Scarlet and Violet. To start we will be keeping the calculator as is and will monitor it going forward if it needs to be changed. For rare balls, we will no longer allow Masterballs as compensation because unfortunately they have lost a lot of value this generation and as a result make little sense to include with Apriballs. The amount is still the same
We have a set number and that will include active pending.
This should keep it simple and easy to keep track for all of us.
These are as follows;
Non-Shiny Queue
The limit for active non-shiny requests at any given time is 3. This includes both in the queue and on the breeding board.
Shiny Queue
The limit for active shiny requests at any given time is 2. This includes both in the queue and on the breeding board.
Please be respectful and communicative when approaching a requester or when approached by a breeder. Thank you all for being great thus far !

📢 QUEUE UPDATE 📢
Hello breeding community, with Pokemon Legends Z-A releasing we are temporarily closing the #breeding_queue_shiny and #breeding_queue_non_shiny channels so everyone can have fun and enjoy the game. This downtime will also give us a chance to sort out and get accustomed to any impact the game may have on breeding either current or future. If you have any further questions, please let us know and we will be happy to help.
In the meantime, if you haven't checked out #announcements we will be having a server-wide event for the release and for Halloween with giveaways, an art contest, the return of the 1504 trading channel, and an event role and badge.

We have a new regulation. From now on all legendary, ultra beast, event, and mythical pokemon offered as payment for breeding requests will need to go through the hackcheck queue and will have to be traded via MM. Mons cannot be publicly advertised as passed hackcheck as they can be easily swapped, so please post "<@&671437350165020674> please DM me about my request" on the #breeding_discussion channel so that an available helper will reach out to you to approve your request.
Always remember to trade high value mons via MM for your own protection!

You know I appreciate and love all that you do in our channels, and we have a fun time talking about food, karoke, and cats and dogs! I just wanted to leave you with a friendly reminder, that while we stress our role is mostly about modifying the boards and tracking requests, we are members of the Sw/Sh staff, and if there is ever a concern about how a request is being handled in the requester to breeder ratio, or if something isn't working out, please feel free to reach out to an online Daycare Helper member. Due to the current state and odds of obtaining the rare and elusive Safari and Sport balls, we will be requiring the requester to provide a picture of their bag contents depending on their offer.
Failure to do so so will result to the request being denied. If the requester is found adding on said balls for later payment, they will be penalized accordingly.

Hey friends, we hope your breeding projects are going well! 
We felt a small announcement was in order regarding a practice that's been popping up a lot more lately which is pinging specific breeders to take a request.
We believe this is still a cute and fun thing to do (following reasonable conditions when increasing payment) but we'd like to impart some advice going forward with future breeder-specific requests:
• It's recommended that you reserve this type of request for people you are good friends with to know they're both interested and comfortable with it. If you have any doubts it's better to err on the side of caution and send a quick DM to gauge their feelings on the matter before proceeding~ 
• Additionally, when requesting a specific breeder you'll have to add "Negotiable in DM" as the conditional offer. That way other breeders are not being deterred from taking requests that offer an alternative payment from the original. 
We want everyone in #breeding_discussion to have fun and take breeding requests for enjoyment rather than feeling pressured to take them. Sometimes we make errors in judgement and that's okay! Let's go forward keeping this in mind with new consideration for our fellow breeders.

Hey Friends! We understand there are reasons that may pull your attention away from breeding, so below are instructions on how to help us log and settle cancellations of requests efficiently! DM an available Daycare Helper if you have questions. We're always happy to help! 
(Requesters) Cancelling A Request in Queue:
Be mindful that breeders are working on other requests and may not immediately jump at your request the moment it is approved, so you do not have to remove and repost your request in queue to bump it. Although, if it’s still in #breeding_queue_non_shiny or #breeding_queue_shiny and you no longer need it, ping us in #breeding_discussion and let us know so we can take it down! Please do not remove your request in queue without informing us. We need to keep record of every request going in and out of our queues.

(Requesters) Cancelling A Request in #breeding_project_board:
*Reminder: Shiny requests don’t have a time limit and Non-shiny requests have a recommended timeframe of 2 days. Breeders have other things going on too and RNG is never nice, so please be patient for your bred pokemon. Additionally, if you request a Pokemon, it is expected that you should not be dropping it or trying to find the mon elsewhere in the meantime.
Failure to complete a request may result in restrictions on your ability to use the breeding services*
If your request is taken by a breeder, but your circumstances have significantly changed, you MUST pay them compensation of at least half the offer for their time and effort. First, please contact DCH to discuss the situation.

(Breeders) Dropping A Request:
*Reminder: Generally we do not allow a breeder to drop a request. However, if you have irl circumstances that mean you are unable to complete the request, please contact a DCH to discuss.
Failure to complete a request may result in restrictions on your ability to use the breeding services*
IRL things and/or lack of motivation happens to everyone at some point! We understand breeding requests may take a few hours or even a few weeks. Please don't feel pressured to be breeding 24/7, and remember to take breaks and hydrate!

Hello Breeding Community! We wanted to address a couple of questions breeders have had with some of the new mechanics introduced in Crown Tundra. If you have any questions with any of the following updates, feel free to reach out to a Daycare Helper for further info.
NIDORAN BREEDING
With Crown Tundra, the breeding nightmare lovable scamp known as Nidoran has come to Gen 8, and brought with it all the fun technical details that come with breeding it. We will be pinning an infographic with details on how to breed these particular little devils.
HIDDEN ABILITY PATCH
In case you missed it, Crown Tundra has introduced a new item: The Ability Patch. This handy little item allows you to change any Pokémon's ability to their hidden ability. We've received questions regarding this item's influence on breeding requests. At this time, we will not be adjusting minimum offers for HA mons due to the difficulty in obtain the patch. In addition, we will not be limiting the item's use on bred mons. Please note: The Ability Patch will not change HA to regular ability and will breed down.

Hello Breeding Community!
With the ever fluctuating market and the release of Crown Tundra, DCH with careful consideration have decided to include non shop balls (apriballs, and rare balls like Safari and Sport) in the base offer for shiny requests. While we have had apriballs available as an alternative payment option since IOA, this allows for that option to now be included in the base offer. This isn’t a complete overhaul of the past system, rather a reinvention of it. Requestors can still include just master balls in their base offer, but now also have the option to include the other rare non shop balls as well.
While we understand and acknowledge that apriballs have a variety of different kinds which can be dictated by personal preference, there is a general understanding that apriballs all hold high value. Things that can be included as alternative payment may include items such as ability patches.
