#Phi for re-used calculators

You need a N0110 to use custom firmwares (or N0100, but with less capacities). To be able to jailbreak your calculator, you need a calculator with version 18.2.3 or less. If you have a Raspberry PI or Pico, any N0110 will work (even with the latest version)
oh i do own a raspberry pi
Is it complicated to find a N0110?
Well I found one so never mind...
But how does the RP have to do with any of this

Super !
Mais maintenant votre cal...
In fact, you have to use the debug port to wipe the internal flash, which contain a bootloader that prevent you from booting any other firmwares
Phi use a software hack to wipe the bootloader
That sounds very complicated and risky
Once the custom bootloader from NumWorks is wiped, the STM32 chip can jump to the "classic" bootloader, in DFU mode
Then, any bootloader can be flashed with an USB port
In fact, it is very complicated to brick the calculator, since the debug port will be still here
may I ask what you mean by bricking.
Bricking mean the calculator is stuck in an unbootable state
But, unless writing explicitly a specific bit in one register (which disable the debug), it is impossible
For someone with close to 0 rp knowledge its very possible
Anyways and if I do own a n0110 18.2.3
If you have 18.2.3 or less, you can downgrade using the software way, so no problem
I doubt that people specificly sell 18.2.3 numworks calculators but ill see.
As for the rp method, I intend to use a graph calculator for school, I can't take risks and have my parents obliterate me
For the Raspberry, you just have to put 2 wires on the calculator the time to wipe the flash, and the Raspberry can be unplugged
Very tempting,
If I do it ill have to buy a cheap numworks and ill have to get my parents to comply. lmao
thanks for the info
Also what did the post mean by rasperry pico
is that a specific model.
Yes
oh shit.
oh phew
Alright ill see if I buy a numworks and get phi
thanks alot
And good day to you.
You too
@midnight sand
one more thing
you mentioned ONLY N0110 right?
because ive been seing N0100 and N0120
The N0100 is compatible, but without a lot of features (like CAS), because of the lack of flash storage
The N0120 can be cracked (but it requires soldering), and no open driver exists, so it is impossible to use it for now
nawwww noo cas ;-;
