when something is highly starred or suggested, staff should be able to add the tag 'highly reccomend' or smth so it can be checked or reviewed for addition faster! i think a good minimum for this would be 15 stars

it would also be easier to look through what the community wants

we have this already lol… as staff we can filter that and see it and i know i look once every few weeks and then step up the highest bumped ideas to the staff that can implement it

ya, as much as i like it, i don’t think too much stin will.. simply because we already have a sort of “chain of command” to make sure the community is done in the correct way. not everything this community recommends even when it gets a lot of stars is always a good idea lol 😭

so i feel like he may not want that just for the sake of he wants to filter through these ideas on his own and implement what he agrees with, stuff that gets a lot of traction we already send to him and suggest in our own staff chats

those are two good threads and i cant see many downsides for either one, considering we already have forms for pluralkit application and could do the same for physicl disabilities.

the religion channel being turned into a forum has also gotten different approval

main chat 2 idea existed before this channel became a forum and was constantly said not to happen due to issues with staffing it but we're here now as well

Religion channel we have like the idea of for a while but stin is writing the code to do similar setup to our other threads for key words to shut the thread and auto reply so that’s a WIP it’s just gonna take a while (weeks to months) to get to a state where we can open that up

physical disability forum got shut down when i asked about it with staff as they said the #1279089434092109835 thread exists and they said that basically is the same and all falls together.. by adding disability we’re just specifying the physical side of it, we’re maybe we should make a tag instead of a whole new forum

Main chat 2 idea was a force of hand by staff… we’re still having severe staffing issues but the over running of vent 1 and the 6 pings per hour for staff in vent 1 of people using it as a main chat and others couldn’t vent was becoming a nightmare for staff.. so main chat 2 is on trial.. may or may not stay.. for now it’s looking good but it was a forced hand of staff to make now as we’re so short on staff and it was causing too many more issues without it

yeah i feel you!!! We all as staff see every new post here and even if it doesn’t get community traction but we like the idea of it we open a conversation amongst us staff in our forums about it all the time

the sort is honestly more so posts can go without being bumped all the time as well since they'll still have a good tag to sort by

just to explain those older ones to lol so you understand where stuffs at..

new members chat isn’t gonna happen as if you have the new members role your account is highly watched by the bot even stricter for key words for auto mod and censorship, you also can’t access all the channels and stuff, if you notice most trolls and spam now a days are accounts that have member role and have been in here for a few weeks and been abandoned waited for the time to get the regular member role and then trolled so they can do things like send images and not be so strict with auto mod so that sounds worse making a chat like that in some way

the aura stuff is already a complex command system.. it breaks the whole ttc bot really easily if used too much back to back.. its why staffs sort of discontinued from using it as it breaks stuff and also was like a loved thing with older staff and as newer staff is now being rolled in we’re walking away from it. I also see that system being abused to all hell if everyone has access to it even if it’s only in appreciation. It’s not a dyno extension, it’s a ttc code script. it’s not simple as clicking a few buttons, we have to code that part of the aura system completely from scratch and i still worry if we did it would make the whole breaking of the ttc systems bot more often and worse when we use it a ton as staff in the background for stuff as is

i mean ive seen new member trolls but they just do it by ragebaiting, but i understand the aura one

yeah, the new member system is getting better each time we revise it, i just feel if we make a channel only for them it’ll make it chaotic with spam or be completely dead, and then traps them from being able to interact with the rest of the community for 7 days till they’re been vetted as not a spam account or something and then can access the rest of the community.. i just feel that takes away from the server and being able to interact with someone if they need to for vent or listening

but hey @whole temple I’ll open the discussion with staff on making a like “community featured” tag for this forum that maybe all staff or at least higher staff can do, like you suggested and we’ll create a outline on what the criteria is and post it here in a new forum and pin it :)
