Give any/all advice, everyone just says ‘calorie deficit’ but that’s just a diet and I always end up eating badly after anyway I don’t know what foods are healthy or unhealthy. I unironically don’t know why mac Donald’s and fast food isnt healthy, it has the meat protein , bun carboydrate and lettuce so idk why it’s unhealthy. Also I’m disabled and don’t really know what excerises to do, any suggestions of excerises that don’t put pressure on the joints ? How often should I be exercising ? What should I even be eating ? Apparently a treat every once in awhile isn’t that bad but how long is every once in awhile? Once a year ? Once a week? Once every few days ? I just feel so lost 😞

Hi! Yes calorie deficit is the most important thing but that doesn’t mean starving yourself yk. For example you mentioned McDonald’s, the reason it’s so unhealthy is cause it’s highly processed with a high calorie count compared to the actual macros that are in it. Basically if eating empty calories so you won’t feel full for as long causing you to overeat because your body still needs the nutrients that McDonald’s doesn’t provide. As for exercise you should be exercising around 3-5 times per week closer to the 5 if you want to see results better. I suggest doing cable and machine workouts at the gym for good results and keeping your joints healthy. Walking for 30 min after every workout on a treadmill that’s inclined at like a 3 speed will burn lots of fat and calories as well. And as for the eating a treat I’d say like maybe once every couple weeks wouldn’t hurt as long as you don’t overdo it. But at the end of the day calorie counting will be the thing that helps the most for losing weight. And ik maybe some of that you didn’t want to hear but take it from someone who’s lost 75lbs all of these things are game changers trust me

# barren dagger What are macro ? I can’t go gym, what would be a good alternative for at home ?...

Macros is short for macronutrients, aka the nutrients in your food. Examples of a macronutrient is protein, carbs, and fat. I’m sure you’ve heard of these so I won’t get more into them but basically the reason McDonalds and other fast foods are bad is the fact that they have high amounts of certain macronutrients that cause a subpar feeling of fullness and a easier way to increase fat gain. It has high carbs and fat which before we became civilized were very scarce to get and are quick and long lasting ways to get energy. That’s why our body’s turns carbs and fat into body fat easier is because back in the old times it didn’t know when the next time it would get those would be so it want to hold onto them as long as possible. And for the gym alternative body weight pushups sit ups dips pull-ups are all great options. Just do them till you physically can’t do whatever exercise you’re doing and do 3 sets of that 3-5 times per week. Split squats and squat jumps will also get you legs good and Same idea with those.

# barren dagger Thank you so much !!!! So McDonald’s would be okay if i just didn’t eat more aft...

McDonald’s is ok in moderation just don’t eat it basically every day haha. And be mindful of what your getting try to go for things like the chicken. And basically let’s say you can do 8 pushups easy then on the 9-13 ones they are hard and at 14 you can’t do anymore. Wait about 2-3 minutes and then do it again and it’ll be even harder and do it again and it’ll be crazy hard. When it hurts and you feel like you can’t do anymore, that’s when your body tells your muscles that they need to get bigger so it honest hurt anymore and that’s how building muscle happens.

Don’t just go cold turkey

#

Gradually decrease your calorie intake slowly and effectively

#

While also trying to find some healthy alternatives

#

Don’t over think it or you WILL fail

#

Stay calm and just do a slow and steady process

#

Maybe toss in a few exercises in there too

#

Not hard core like “oh I need to go to the gym for 2 hours EVERY DAY!”

#

But like, a nice walk, maybe lifting a few small weights, or dude, even yoga lol

#

Get enough sleep too that’s very important

And remember to not stress about how long it will take

Patience is key
