I was diagnosed with depression and a psychiatrist gave me medication. The thing is, it was so strong it didn't allow me to feel or think, made me really slow which sucks cause Im mostly sad bc uni isn't going well.
Half a year ago more or less I just couldn't do it anymore and stopped taking it. The thing is I don't know what to do now. I'm basically wasting money...

Should I tell the psychiatrist? My psychologist? My parents? I don't really wanna end up locked up. Should I just keep lying and wait until my psychiatrists stops my medication? I don't feel like they will ever stop it if it's up to them tho...

im not a professional but i think you should do what makes you feel the best, so if u feel better when you're off your medication then maybe you should be off it. but i also think you should tell your psychologist/psychiatrist bc they are the professionals. and i think they might understand if you explain.

Try asking for different meds, tell them you had extreme side effects and describe it to them. Most people I know, me included, had to try different medications until they found the ones that work for them

stopping suddenly can mess with your hormones so it's better to take less and less over time with the help of a professional
